On the results of the work of the Gomel region on sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation of the population in 2018

In the region, much attention is paid to the organization of sanatorium-resort assistance to the population and its recovery.

So, at the expense of the republican budget and social insurance in 2018 sanatorium-resort treatment was provided in health resorts of the republic and 156.9 thousand residents of the Gomel region recovered in the amount of 73.44 million rubles.

Citizens of the privileged category, eligible for extraordinary and first-priority free vouchers, were sent to health centers of the republic - 1,170 people, including 44 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as 146 disabled people of groups I and II enjoying benefits under article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus.

In total, in 2018, at the expense of the republican budget, it was sent to sanatorium-resort treatment of non-working citizens who are retirees of law enforcement agencies, retirees registered with the Social Protection Fund, and 3657 people with disabilities amounting to 2.37 million rubles.

One of the main tasks of the region is to provide sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation of children living and studying in the territories contaminated with radionuclides. In 2018, sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation of 64,730 children worth 56.60 million rubles were received, including:

- at the expense of the republican budget in organized groups - 58,808 children;

- at the expense of the republican budget on vouchers for parents with children - 2,657 children;

- at the expense of state extra-budgetary fund of social protection of the population - 765 children;

- at the expense of the republican budget in health camps - 2500 children.

In 2018, 1,189 disabled children were provided with vouchers for sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation, including:

- at the expense of the republican budget for children with disabilities - 452 people;

- at the expense of the republican budget in the composition of organized groups and on vouchers for parents with children - 309 people;

- using public funds to reduce the cost of vouchers in health camps - 428 people.

An important focus of the representation is the organization of children's health during the vacation period in the camps of various types.

In the summer period of 2018, camps were organized in the territory of the Gomel Region, in which 47,194 children were cured for more than 5.0 million rubles.

Special attention was paid to the rehabilitation of minors in a socially dangerous position and consisting of various types of registration.

Every year, the control is the rehabilitation of orphans and children with disabilities. In the summer of 2018, 1960 orphans were able to rest in health camps.

The surcharge to the full cost of vouchers for children from large, low-income families and children left without parental care brought up in foster care and guardianship families, and to reduce the cost of vouchers to health camps for children of public sector employees used 93.0 thousand rubles regional budget.

The work of the recreation camps was organized in compliance with sanitary, fire-prevention and other requirements for organizing children's rehabilitation in accordance with the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus “On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline” of 11.03.2004 No. 1.

To strengthen the material and technical base of stationary health camps to work in the summer, 527 thousand rubles were spent from various sources.

All funds were used for their intended purpose: for the current repair of residential premises, kitchens, communications, landscaping, payment for construction and installation work in a contractual manner, the acquisition of building materials for carrying out work in an economic way, and the fulfillment of the instructions of the supervisory authorities.

In the off-season recreation camps during the spring, autumn and winter holidays of 2018, 29992 schoolchildren were improved for the amount of public funds of 727,83 thousand rubles.

In total, in the health and sports camps of the Gomel region, in which all conditions were created for the full-fledged treatment, rest and the implementation of the educational process, 77,186 children improved their health during the year. For these purposes, 5.80 million rubles of state funds were directed.

In 2018, sanatorium-resort and recreational organizations of the Gomel region sold 98,494 vouchers, including the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the population, 37,602 vouchers, legal entities, 27,703 vouchers, and natural persons, 33,189 vouchers. The revenue from the sale of sanatorium and health services increased compared to 2017 by 10% and amounted to 70.22 million rubles.

Particular attention is paid to the health resorts of the region to export sanatorium and health services. Revenue from the sale of services to citizens of the countries of the near and far abroad amounted to 21.12 million rubles, which is 10.4% more than in 2017, while the number of foreign citizens who received sanatorium-resort treatment was 28,592 people (26,592 people in 2017 year).

The average occupancy rate of the sanatorium and health resort and recreational organizations of the Gomel region in 2018 was 84.5%.

It should be noted the work of health centers to develop the material and technical base, expand the list of services provided. So, for example, the DUP Sanatorium “Pridneprovsky”, at its own expense, modernized the facade of building No. 1, purchased medical and technological equipment. DUP "Sanatorium" Chenki "made repairs in the lobby of the main building, medical offices, opened a modern children's room in building number 2 and a playground with slides and swings in the territory, installed a fountain in front of the main building. KUP DROTs "Sidelniki" carried out maintenance and overhaul of buildings and structures, landscaping, acquired medical and technological equipment.

In total, in 2018, 5.35 million rubles were used to strengthen the material and technical base of the sanatorium-resort organizations of the Gomel region.

In order to increase the demand for sanatorium and health services for citizens of the Republic of Belarus and foreign citizens, health centers of the Gomel region continue to work on creating the most attractive, comfortable conditions for holidaymakers, strengthening the material, technical and medical base, mastering and introducing modern treatment methods.
