Autumn holidays in the sports camps of Vitebsk region

This year, during the autumn holidays, students rested longer than usual - 10 days. During the holidays, the work of daytime camps was organized in the Vitebsk region, in which it was planned to rehabilitate 11380 children, including 4800 in sports and recreation centers. 288.2 thousand rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the health campaign.

To ensure the continuity of the educational and training process, sports training, strengthening the health of children and in order to make the best use of vacation time, specialized training and sports institutions of the Vitebsk region organized the work of 45 camps with daytime stays. For this, the bases of youth sports schools, specialized youth schools of the Olympic reserve, and regional centers of the Olympic reserve were involved.

All camps worked in accordance with the plans for mass sports and educational work. Cultural and sports events were aimed at creating a healthy lifestyle, mastering the norms and rules of life safety, the formation of a diversified, morally mature, creative personality. Particular attention was paid to the prevention of bad habits, civic-patriotic and labor education.
As part of educational work, museums, libraries, cinemas, preventive discussions “Youth against drugs”, “We are for a healthy lifestyle!”, The quiz “What do I know about sports?”, “Hour of fun questions” and others were visited.

Also held competitions in checkers, chess, volleyball, football.
The most significant event during the holidays was the meeting of athletes-students of a sports school with the natives of the Sennensky Olympic champion in biathlon Irina Krivko and the 3-time relay world champion in biathlon Peter Ivashko, which took place on November 6, 2019 in Senno.
