On the health improvement of children of the Gomel region in the camps in 1 shift of the summer period of 2020

In the Gomel region, in the first shift of the summer period of 2020, there were 4 round-the-clock health camps with a stay of at least 18 days, of which 3 are stationary and 1 on the basis of the SKUP Sanatorium Serebryanye Klyuchi; 1 health camp with a round-the-clock stay for 15 days; 460 health-improving camps. In total, 11285 children improved their health during the first shift.
In the summer, special attention is paid to the improvement of socially unprotected categories of children, in particular, orphans and children left without parental care, as well as children with disabilities. As a result of the first shift, 368 children from the category of orphans and children left without parental care, and 185 children with disabilities were recovered.
91 labor and recreation camps were organized, in which 1255 teenagers had a rest and worked. With the assistance of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, jobs have been created for students in various activities: landscaping school grounds, repairing school furniture, making stands, souvenirs, weeding crops, working in a nursery, caring for forest crops and others. In the labor and recreation camps of the Gomel region in 1 shift, teenagers were able to earn from 25.00 rubles to 147.00 rubles.
Based on the orders of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium and Resort Treatment of the Population, the Main Education Department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, the protocol of instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus dated 29.05.2020 No. 38/3pr, monitoring of the health of children in the camps is carried out. The Gomel Regional Executive Committee approved the schedule of visits of the working group to health camps with round-the-clock stay in order to monitor the progress of children's health improvement and provide methodological assistance. The group includes specialists from the sanitary service, the education department, and representative offices. The recommendations of the working groups are taken into account by the owners of the health camps and are implemented immediately.
The administration of the recreation camps has taken measures to ensure the safe stay of children. An action plan has been developed to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19 infection, and actions to be taken when a disease is detected. The camps are provided with disinfectants and personal protective equipment. Provided a non-exit regime of work of teachers and kitchen workers.
The constant employment of children is ensured, instructions are given to employees and children on safety measures during events, behavior on the water, on hikes, and so on.
The Department of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee ensured the protection of public order in the territories of the camps by police officers around the clock.
