About an unforgettable children's vacation in the Brest region in the summer of 2020

The season of mass summer children's recreation is coming to an end and children will remember with nostalgia the interesting time spent in health camps, new acquaintances and meetings.

The recreation of children in the health camps of the Brest region is variously organized. The life of the guys was quite eventful. Sportslands, quizzes, relay races, competitions between squads, game programs, music competitions, excursions and other various events are held daily. Instructive conversations are also held with the children, and they relate to various topics - compliance with the rules of respiratory etiquette and personal hygiene, the harm of drugs, alcohol and tobacco smoking, behavior with strangers, the benefits of playing sports, etc.

In June-July of this year, about 20 thousand children have already rested in various types of health camps. 508 health camps of various types have been organized.

It should be noted that much attention in the region was paid to the organization of health camps according to profiles, areas of activity, in which more than 10 thousand children underwent health improvement.

During this period, 111 labor and recreation camps were organized in the region for the recovery of 1704 teenagers.

The work of health camps of the military-patriotic and defense-sports profile was organized with the participation of military units and formations of the ministries of defense, internal affairs and emergency situations.

For example, on the basis of the Youth Patriotic Center, a branch of the Belarusian State Educational Institution of Medical Technologies, which is located in the Brest Fortress, a regional round-the-clock camp was organized in two shifts for a period of 15 days of defense and sports profile for the health of 67 children. Students from Brest, Zhabinkovsky, Malorita districts and the city of Brest, in conditions close to army life, got used to the life and traditions of military personnel, acquired initial skills in military-applied subjects, participated in sports events, and replenished their knowledge of the history of their native land. For active participation in the life of the camp, the children received diplomas, certificates, and souvenirs.

On the basis of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center "Svitanak" of the Main Education Department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, a tent health camp "Stalker" was organized in five shifts for a period of 9 days. to navigate by the compass and many other things.The tourist program is conducted by instructors of children and youth tourism with experience.

Particular attention is paid to the health improvement of children of socially unprotected categories. Over the past period, 743 orphans, 211 disabled children, 537 children who are in preventive care and are in a socially dangerous situation have been rehabilitated.

In the region, all necessary measures are being taken to create safe conditions for children in health camps in a difficult epidemiological situation and in accordance with temporary guidelines for the prevention of the introduction and spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the prevention of injuries and the prevention of death of children.

You never cease to be amazed at the skill of the educators who worked in the health camps, who managed to saturate the shifts with various events so that they will remain unforgettable for the children.
