Winter holidays for schoolchildren in Vitebsk region 2020-2021

This year, during the winter holidays, schoolchildren rested longer than usual - 17 days. In the Vitebsk region, during the holidays, 255 day camps were organized, in which 8980 children improved their health. 226.2 thousand rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the health campaign. For the third year in a row, during the winter holidays, 2 camps were organized with children staying around the clock. On the basis of the recreation camp "Friendly guys" GUDO "Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth" (61 children were rehabilitated) and for children with whom individual preventive work is carried out on the basis of the children's social shelter State Educational Institution "Social Pedagogical Center of Vitebsk District" (30 children ).
Support was provided to low-income families, more than 1900 children from large and low-income families were rehabilitated, 175 schoolchildren recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation, 62 - for whom individual preventive work is being carried out, 65 - children with psychophysical disabilities, 27 children with disabilities.
During the rehabilitation of the children, measures were strengthened to organize safe conditions of stay: access and mask regimes were in effect, rooms and surfaces were treated with disinfectants, mandatory wet cleaning and airing of the premises were carried out. Temperatures were measured daily for children, and their appearance was assessed for the absence of diseases.
During the holidays for schoolchildren, physical culture and recreation and sports events in the open air were held. Also, events were organized to promote the formation of a healthy lifestyle in children, conversations with medical workers, film lectures, quests. In order to prevent unlawful behavior and ensure the safety of life of children, meetings were held with employees of law enforcement agencies and the Regional Emergency Service.
Competitive entertainment programs, intellectual and entertaining, interactive games contributed to the development of children's creativity and initiative.
