On the results of the work of the sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations of the Brest region in the 1st half of 2021

In the first half of 2021, 43,997 people improved their health in the sanatoriums and health-improving organizations of the Brest region, including 28,113 people at the expense of legal entities and individuals, at the expense of the republican budget and funds of the extra-budgetary Fund for Social Protection of the Population, 15884 people.
In January-June 2021, the proceeds from the sale of spa and wellness services amounted to 29.6 million rubles, which is 153.4% over the same period in 2020.

Much attention is paid to strengthening and developing the material and technical base of health resorts and stationary health camps in the region. Thus, in the first half of the year, 3.3 million rubles were spent on capital and current repairs, landscaping, purchasing inventory, medical and technological equipment.
Modern medical facilities, interesting leisure time, tasty and varied food made from pure Belarusian products at affordable prices make the rest in Brest health resorts attractive not only for Belarusians, but also for foreign tourists.

In the first half of this year, 2647 citizens of the near and far abroad received sanatorium treatment in the sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations of the Brest region. The proceeds from the sale of services to foreign citizens in January-June 2021 amounted to 2.3 million rubles.
Vacationers are offered various treatment programs, rehabilitation procedures that will help improve their health and strengthen the immune system. Along with natural factors, physiotherapy methods are widely used in health resorts, with the use of appropriate equipment, diet therapy, physiotherapy exercises, massage, acupuncture and many other modern medical services.

It should be noted that each health resort has developed an up-to-date treatment program - rehabilitation of patients with pneumonia associated with COVID-19 infection, which includes a set of procedures that best strengthen and restore the protective functions of the body. For example, oxygen barotherapy, ozone therapy, speleotherapy will saturate the lungs with oxygen, various types of massage and breathing exercises, dry carbon dioxide baths, various herbal teas and oxygen cocktails will improve overall well-being.

Much attention is paid to the safety of vacationers in sanatoriums and health resorts. The heads of the sanatorium and resort organizations are taking measures to implement organizational and sanitary and anti-epidemic measures to prevent the introduction and spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

So, access to health resorts is provided only through a guard post, conditions for social distancing in places of mass stay of people are observed, the flows of vacationers are maximally divided when providing medical and health services, organizing meals, and holding cultural events. There are dispensers with antiseptic agents for treating hands at the entrance to the building and in crowded places, the necessary supply of disinfectants and antiseptic agents, medicines, workers are provided with personal respiratory protection equipment (masks, respirators).

Reception of vacationers is carried out only if there is information (certificate) about the lack of contact with a person with COVID-19 infection within the last 14 days before the date of departure, issued by the health organization at the place of residence or the territorial center of hygiene and epidemiology, and for foreign citizens, the presence of a negative laboratory result tests for COVID-19 infection.
