On the results of the 2021 summer health campaign in the Grodno region
20-September-2021In the summer of 2021, 590 camps of all types and types operated in the Grodno region, in which 34,538 children were rehabilitated.
In 135 camps with round-the-clock stay of all kinds, 14,010 children have improved their health. For the suburban health improvement of children, the base of stationary camps was used to the maximum, which worked in 3 and 4 shift working modes. 23 stationary health camps accepted 10,013 children for health improvement.

The 455 day camps were organized on a declarative basis. This type of recreation covered 20,528 children.

Programs of health camps for work and recreation were actively implemented, the main task of which is the acquisition of practical work skills by children, involvement in socially useful activities, the formation of healthy lifestyle skills in children, the creation of conditions for professional self- determination, awareness of professional choices by children, and the social significance of professional activities.
In total, there were 53 labor and recreation camps in the region with a day stay for 772 children. Students receiving vocational education did not go unnoticed. There were 2 labor and recreation camps for them in the region.
For highly motivated students, there were 4 regional camps with round-the-clock stay: "Science", "Young Cadet", "Leader 2021", "ProfStart". 272 children rested in them. These camps were organized on the basis of the Porechskaya and Ozerskaya boarding schools, the Grodno regional cadet school, and the Grodno regional institute for the development of education.
In all health camps of the Grodno region, events on ideological, civic and patriotic education were implemented, timed to coincide with the Year of National Unity.

In order to acquire knowledge by adolescents about the harmful effects of tobacco smoking, alcohol consumption, drugs and the consequences of their consumption on health; gaining knowledge about HIV infection, transmission routes and prevention; the formation of adolescents' responsibility for their health in the health camps of the Grodno region were days of health, disputes, group consultations, advertising campaigns, speeches of propaganda teams, round tables with the involvement of representatives of health care, sports, sports and tourism games on the ground.
In modern conditions, remote forms of communication between parents and children were used in the camps. So, in the health camp "Zorka" in Grodno, the video surveillance system "Video Eye" was used. With her help, parents could on a regular basis see how work is being done with children and attend the camp events in absentia.
In order to comply with the regime of sanitary and epidemiological well-being, constant preventive monitoring of the activities of the camps was carried out. The main attention was paid to compliance with the requirements of sanitary norms and rules, temporary guidelines.

At the beginning of October, it is planned to hold a joint meeting of the Commission on Minors' Affairs of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee and the Grodno Regional Interdepartmental Council on health improvement and sanatorium treatment of the population, where the results of the summer health campaign in 2021 will be summed up and the tasks for the next year will be determined.
