Summer holidays for schoolchildren are a long-awaited, hassle-free and eventful time. This is the time when many childhood dreams and plans come true and bring unforgettable impressions. One of the great options for organizing leisure activities for children is a health camp. Life in children's camps is eventful, full of events, new acquaintances and meetings. The main purpose of organizing health camps is not only to create conditions for a good rest, but also to develop the creative abilities of children, their patriotic education.

During the summer holidays in the region in health camps, it is planned to improve the health of 63.5 thousand children, including 21.5 thousand with round-the-clock stay. More than 900 camps of various types will operate.
9.2 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget to reduce the cost of vouchers in the camps of the Brest region. In addition, 702.6 thousand rubles of local budget funds are provided to reduce the cost of vouchers to health camps for children of public sector employees, to pay up to the full cost of vouchers for socially vulnerable categories, to purchase vouchers for boarding school students.

The summer health campaign began in the region on June 1, the work of stationary health camps is planned in four or more shifts.

The start of the children's summer health campaign of the current year took place on 06/01/2023 on the International Children's Day on the basis of the state educational institution "Secondary School No. 7 of Brest" with the raising of the State flag and the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus by the participants. The line on the occasion of the grand opening was attended by the head of the representative office of the Brest Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population Reshetneva A. and Deputy Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee Popova I.

By tradition, secondary school No. 7 in Brest invited children to a health camp with a day stay "7 Continent", where 206 children will have a rest. The event ended with a fun dance flash mob.

Also, on June 9, 2023, in the agro-town of Byten, Ivatsevichy district, the grand opening of the first shift of the stationary regional children's health camp "Yuventa" took place, in which the head of the representative office of the Brest Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population Reshetneva A. and the head of the main department for education of the regional executive committee Kalinovskaya N.

This year they plan to organize four races for 120 children. The first shift in the patriotic camp.
