Summer health campaign in Gomel region

The start of the 2023 summer health campaign took place in the Gomel region.
In the summer of 2023, it is planned to improve the health of 42,100 children in the health camps of the region, including 11,370 people in camps with a round-the-clock stay, and 30,730 people with a day stay. More than 960 camps of various types will operate.
The work of 8 stationary health camps and 2 camps on the basis of sanatorium-resort organizations (SCUE "Sanatorium" Silver Keys "and PUE" Sanatorium "Golden Sands") was organized. The work of 7 health camps is planned in 4 shifts.
Of the total number planned for the rehabilitation of children 12111 people will have a rest in sports and recreation camps with round-the-clock and day stay, 3550 people in labor and recreation camps, 1195 orphans and children left without parental care, 450 disabled children.
In total, 7,001,360.00 rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the summer health campaign in the Gomel region in 2023, including 5,456,360.00 rubles to reduce the cost of vouchers. From the regional budget, 155,981.00 rubles are provided for by districts of the region to reduce the cost of vouchers to health camps with round-the-clock stay and additional payments up to the full cost of vouchers for children - orphans and children left without parental care, regardless of the form of their placement for education, for children -disabled, for children from large and low-income children.
As part of the implementation of the state program to eliminate the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, 1,545,000.00 rubles are provided in the republican budget in 2023. As a result of the public procurement procedure, 1,850 vouchers were purchased to health and sports camps for children of the Gomel region living and studying in the territory of radioactive contamination.
Work on the preparation of health camps for the summer health campaign was organized in accordance with the decision of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee dated March 31, 2023 No. 273 “On organizing the rehabilitation of children in the Gomel region in the summer of 2023”. Supervisory authorities of the Gomel region carried out control over the preparation of health camps for work in the summer period and commission acceptance of health camps. The opening of health camps was carried out in accordance with the approved schedules.
74,673.00 rubles were allocated for the preparation of stationary camps in the Gomel region for the summer recreation period, of which 41,661.00 rubles from the state funds, 33,012.00 rubles from the regional budget and, according to operational data, 560,000.00 rubles from the owners' funds.
On May 18, 2023, the Gomel Regional Center for State Health and Public Health held a meeting in the Gomel Regional Executive Committee in video mode with the participation of those interested in the issue of compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation during the opening and operation of health camps.
On May 26, 2023, on the basis of the main health department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, a seminar was organized and held for medical workers of stationary health camps and sanatorium organizations for children.
By order No. 610 of May 19, 2023 “On medical support for the summer recovery of children and adolescents in 2023”, the General Directorate of Healthcare assigned health care institutions, appointed curators for health camps.
Information about the location of health camps was sent to the internal affairs departments to ensure law enforcement and organize preventive work.
On behalf of the chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, additional measures have been taken to ensure the safety of children's stay in health camps located in the border zone.
The Main Department of Education of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, together with the Commission on Juvenile Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, as well as with other interested services for organizing summer recreation, prepared and approved a plan for the implementation of the interdepartmental program "Care" in the Gomel region, the interdepartmental program for summer employment of students of educational institutions "Summer for the benefit of 2023 ". A plan for information support of events planned during the children's summer health campaign in 2023 has been prepared and approved, which reflects the main directions on the theme of the Year of Peace and Creation, the grand opening of the first shifts in the camps with the raising of the State flag and the performance by the participants of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. Various events are planned dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.From June 6 to August 18, the Gomel Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus plans to conduct a republican information and propaganda campaign “Vacations without smoke and fire!”, aimed at preventing fires due to children's pranks with fire, death and injury of children .
Necessary measures are being taken to organize the rehabilitation of children with whom individual preventive work is carried out and children who are in a socially dangerous situation. According to the district departments of education, in the summer recreation period of 2023, it is planned to cover 1092 children of this category, including those for whom individual preventive work is being carried out.
During the course of the health campaign, constant preventive monitoring of the safety and quality of services is organized. The Gomel Regional Executive Committee approved the schedule of trips of the interdepartmental commission to health camps with round-the-clock stay in order to monitor the progress of children's recovery and provide practical assistance.
Local executive and administrative bodies, owners of health camps, and interested organizations have been tasked with ensuring the safe stay of children in the Gomel region for rehabilitation during the children's summer health campaign in 2023.
