About holding spring holidays in the Minsk region

In order to organize effective leisure, employment and health improvement for students of educational institutions in the Minsk region, during the spring holidays from March 24 to March 30, 2024, 342 day-time health camps for children were organized on the basis of general secondary education institutions for 10,417 students, including: 252 orphans, 208 disabled children, 100 children from low-income families and 2,837 children from large families.
Particular attention was paid to activities to instill citizenship and patriotism among the younger generation. One of the current areas was the formation of students’ respectful attitude towards state symbols.
The guests of the health camp “Friendship” of the State Institution “Drichinskaya Basic School” of the Pukhovichi district were cadets of the State Institution “Minsk Regional Cadet School”, who told the children about their educational institution, conducted for them a thematic quest game “We are patriots!”
In order to form a patriotic consciousness in children, the following were organized for pupils of health camps: an educational and game program “Belarus is our pride and glory”, a visit to the exhibition “The Land That Is Ganarussia” (excursions to historical museums).
At the “Rainbow” health camp of the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 6 in Zhodino,” the children participated in the “Spring Fun” project and the travel game “We are proud of our country.” To ensure the maximum possible health impact and preserve the future performance of students In the plans of educational work of health camps, physical education, health and sports activities were carried out, such as: morning exercises, walks and games in the fresh air, students visited physical education and health centers.
Day of Health and Sports under the motto “I will save my health - I will help myself!” took place in the health camp “Sosnovy Bor” of the State Educational Institution “Zhdanovichi Secondary School” in the Minsk region. Minutes of health and safety, a walk in the fresh air, as well as the Small Olympic Games contributed to the formation of children's ideas about a healthy lifestyle and charged them with positivity and good mood.
Formation of a healthy lifestyle is one of the priority areas of educational work with students. Among the activities in this area in health camps are adherence to a daily routine, proper nutrition, the “Clean Hands” campaign, prevention of bad habits through film lectures, conversations, trainings, etc.
At the health camp “Vesnushki” of the State Educational Institution “Krupka District Gymnasium” the Day of Health and Sports was held under the motto “We are friends with health - healthy children of a healthy country!” During the health minute, a medical worker introduced the children to the rules for preventing colds and infectious diseases and the rules of hardening. The students took part in the sports relay race “Higher! Faster! Stronger!".
When organizing work in health camps, special attention was paid to the life safety of minors and the rules of safe behavior.
Drawing competitions, master classes on arts and crafts, and correspondence excursions to world art museums were organized in health camps in the region.
Pupils of the health camps “Solnyshko” of the State Institution “Korolevskaya Primary School of the Uzdensky District”, “Carousel of Discoveries” of the State Institution “Uzden Secondary School No. 1 named after. A.S. Pushkin" visited the exhibition on genocide and the virtual excursion "Khatyn", held a competition-exhibition of drawings "There was a war".
The inclusive friendship festival “Colors of Spring” was held at the “Raduga” health camp of the State Educational Institution “Slutsk Center for Correctional and Developmental Training and Rehabilitation”. Children from the children's center "Solnyshko" visited the camp students with a theatrical production "The Far Away State".
In health camps, measures were taken to prevent injuries among children and youth, prevent destructive manifestations and create appropriate conditions for their safe pastime. Pupils of health camps in the Minsk region took an active part in the “Safe Holidays” campaign.
Pupils of the health camp "Vyaselka" of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 9 of Molodechno" as part of the republican preventive campaign "Safe Holidays" and "Move by the Rules" were visited by a traffic police inspector of the OGAI of the Molodechno District Department of Internal Affairs, a junior police lieutenant.
In order to comply with sanitary standards and rules, the safe stay of children and the quality of services provided during the spring holidays, 168 working group visits were held in 23 districts of the Minsk region to study the activities of health camps, including
with the participation of leading specialists of the representative office of the Minsk regional department of the Republican Center for Wellness
and sanatorium-resort treatment of the population - 54 visits.

The meals were organized on the basis of approximate diets, developed taking into account age categories and the physiological needs of the child’s body based on the principle of gentle nutrition, with the exception of the most difficult to digest and spicy foods. The menu included fruits and juices in a varied assortment. Laboratory control was carried out over the quality and safety of prepared food in accordance with the requirements of sanitary standards and regulations. The requirements of fire safety, sanitary and epidemiological safety, and safety regulations were observed when organizing educational and sports activities. Access control has been established in all institutions.
Mass sports festivals, game programs, civic-patriotic, environmental events and other events have become a favorable area for students’ self-realization and their recreation in health, sports and recreation camps.
