On October 10, 2018, the annual city conference on the results of the summer health campaign of 2018 with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Yurkevich I.

The conference was organized by the Minsk City Administration of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Minsk City Association of Trade Union Organizations.

Belanovsky heads of committees and departments of the Minsk City Executive Committee, deputy heads and heads of education departments of administrations of Minsk districts, heads of enterprises-owners, heads of suburban health camps, representatives of interested institutions and services of the city.

The conference was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Yurkevich I.V. He noted the high organizational level of the summer health campaign.

Igor Yurkevich noted: “In Minsk, much has been done to improve the rehabilitation system: we maintain annual volumes of rehabilitation for schoolchildren, systematically strengthen the material and technical base and infrastructure of recreation camps.”

The head of the Minsk City Administration of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population V.A. Nafranovich reported on the results of the summer recovery of the capital schoolchildren in 2018 and the tasks for 2019.

According to the speaker, during the summer season of 2018, 68638 metropolitan schoolchildren were able to improve their health in 770 camps of various types, including 32 out-of-town campuses owned by the city’s enterprises.

“These indicators are the result of the work of all interested services at the preparatory stage for the summer season and during its holding,” the speaker emphasized.

Valery Nafranovich also stressed that the priority in the organization of recreation for children is still the rehabilitation of children in difficult life situations, including children with disabilities. These categories of children in accordance with the decision of the Minsk City Council of Deputies dated November 16, 2016 No. 243 “On Establishing Social Support Measures for Certain Categories of Citizens” provided for the allocation of funds from the city budget to reduce the cost of vouchers and additional payment to the full cost of vouchers to country health camps.

The measures taken made it possible to improve 1814 children from among orphans and children under guardianship in camps with day and round-the-clock stay. In addition, during the season, 84 preschool children from the number of orphans and under guardianship were sent to the recreation camp Yubileiny of the Minsk Plant of Heating Equipment OJSC. The practice of improving the health of disabled children was continued, which were sent to camps with full-time (on the basis of correctional and developmental training centers) and round-the-clock stay with boarding school teachers. In total, 1258 disabled children have been improved.

At the expense of the budget of Minsk and funds of the republican budget, traditionally already 162 disabled children with various pathologies underwent rehabilitation accompanied by one of the parents in the bases adapted for these purposes: in health camps Zvezdny, SE Belaeronavigation, Sputnik OJSC Minskremstroy and UZ “City children's center of medical rehabilitation“ Praleska ”of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee (town of Rakov).

Children of state-owned municipal property employees received additional payments at the expense of the city budget when they purchased vouchers to country camps in the amount of up to 100 rubles per voucher. This type of assistance was used by 1769 children.

In order to prevent offenses and prevent asocial behavior of adolescents during the summer season, 1152 children are involved in various types of registration and brought up in dysfunctional families to health camps with the use of the city budget and state social insurance funds.

To meet the needs of children in various activities and their acquisition of useful skills, 588 camps (units) were organized in profiles, activities with day and round-the-clock stay, in which 27002 children had a rest, 7444 of them - aged 15-18 years.

A special place in the system of moral and patriotic education of children and adolescents is occupied by their stay in military-patriotic camps.

Together with the staff of military units, border outposts, educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, work was organized on 24 military-patriotic and defense-sports camps (detachment) covering 973 children, including 371 adolescents aged 15-18 years.
