The results of the recovery of the population of the Grodno region in 2019
20-February-2020In 2019, the Grodno Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-and-Resort Treatment of the population sent 11535 people for health improvement.
Including at the expense of state social insurance funds, 6451 people received spa treatment. Of these, 3478 children, including 2633 people in children's sanatoriums, and 845 children in sanatoriums (departments) of the mother and child.
As part of the State program to overcome the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, 1,620 people were healed. Including 1496 children living or studying in contaminated areas as part of organized groups. They went to the Lesnaya Polyana Training Center, Zhdanovichi Training Center, and Nadezhda Training Center for rehabilitation.
At the expense of the republican budget 2442 veterans of labor and law enforcement agencies received sanatorium-resort treatment, including 868 disabled people of the I-II group and war veterans, 51 disabled people and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Most of the vacationers took the sanatoriums of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection: "Berezina", "Belaya Vezha", "Vyazuti", "Yaselda".
Particular attention was paid to the rehabilitation of children with disabilities. During the year, 513 disabled children with accompanying persons (509 people) received spa treatment.
In children’s health camps of all types, 87,913 children have been treated.
In 2020, work to provide the population of the region with spa treatment will continue.
