On the health improvement of children in Minsk in camps with day and round-the-clock stay during the winter holidays of the 2020-2021 academic year

In order to provide a high-quality organization of recreation and recreation for children and adolescents during the winter holidays of the 2020-2021 academic year, to create conditions for active developmental leisure of students in the period from December 28, 2020 to January 6, 2021, health camps will be organized with a day stay for base of institutions of general secondary education, as well as institutions of additional education for children and young people lasting 6 days, where about 9 600 Minsk schoolchildren can have a rest.

In accordance with the approved cost estimate, the amount of funds from the republican budget to reduce the cost of a trip to a health camp with a day stay during the winter holidays of the 2020-2021 academic year for one bed-day is 4 rubles 20 kopecks.
The parental supplement for 6 days of stay of one child in a health camp was 5.28 rubles for children of the age category 6-10; 11-13 years old - 8.88 rubles; 14-17 years old - 11.52 rubles.

In camps with a day stay, three full meals are organized for children (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea). Each educational institution has developed a special health and educational program for students, including New Year holidays, physical culture and health, sports events, games, competitions, tournaments, classes in associations of interest: circles, sections, clubs, watching feature films and documentaries, holding thematic discos and other events.

During the winter holidays, specialized programs will be offered. The list of specialized programs is quite wide: environmental, artistic, career guidance, programs for the prevention of child road injuries, sports, etc.
For children attending health camps with a day stay, maximum conditions have been created for health improvement, recreation, rational use of vacation time, the formation of a general culture and healthy lifestyle skills.

In addition, during the winter holidays from January 2 to 10, 2021, the educational departments of the administrations of the Moscow, Soviet and Central districts of Minsk, together with the Minsk city administration of the Republican center for health improvement and sanatorium-resort treatment of the population, will implement a unique project: out-of-town health improvement and recreation on the basis of the health-improving complex "Horizon" of the branch of the open joint-stock company "Management company of the holding" Horizon "Social complex, the health-improving complex "Sputnik" JSC "Minskremstroy", as well as the student sanatorium-preventorium "Polytechnic" BNTU.

About 270 students will have the opportunity to usefully spend time, improve their health and have a rest during the winter holidays not in the city, but in the country camps "Horizon", "Sputnik" and "Polytechnic". A thematic 9-day shift has been prepared for the children, filled with many interesting events: various creative and sports competitions, festivals, promotions, excursions and fairs.

Recreation camps "Horizon", "Sputnik" and "Polytechnic" have a good material base and infrastructure. It offers children comfortable rooms for living, an assembly hall, sports grounds, a stadium, a gym, a library, rooms for circle work, a modern and well-equipped medical unit.
Taking into account the round-the-clock stay of children in the camp, a full-fledged 5-time balanced meal is organized for them, which, in combination with natural factors, outdoor activities, educational and physical culture and sports activities, creates a good health-improving effect.

In health camps with day and round-the-clock stay during the winter holidays of the 2020-2021 academic year, specific measures have been taken to ensure the creation of safe conditions for children in organized children's groups. The central requirement for the leaders of these health camps is the strict observance of measures for the safe stay of children in places of health improvement and recreation, protection of their life and health.

Particular attention is paid to the implementation of organizational and sanitary and anti-epidemic measures by the camp staff to prevent the introduction and spread of coronavirus infection.
