Health resorts of the Brest region held events dedicated to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War
12-May-2021Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War is still one of the main holidays in our country. We cherish the memory of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers and their exploits. On May 9, festive events were traditionally held in all cities - honoring and congratulating veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The above events were also organized in the health resorts of the Brest region.
For example, in the State Institution "Republican sanatorium" Yaselda "the following activities were carried out:
May 6 - performance of the collective of the sanatorium "Kvetki Polesya" to the Victory Day;
May 7 - creative evening of the chairman of the veterans of the navy and the team "KAPlya" VM Bisultanov;
May 8 - meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War "Victory May, we live and remember";

I would like to note that the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus provides invalids and war veterans with an extraordinary right to annual free spa treatment. So, in 2019-2020, 61 war veterans of the Brest region received spa treatment.
Persons of this category who did not use their right to spa treatment in the past calendar year are entitled to receive financial assistance for health improvement in the amount of 10 basic units.
Support for war veterans, citizens who suffered from the consequences of the war has always been and remains one of the priorities of the state social policy of our country.
