About health improvement of children of Grodno region in summer health camps

On the territory of the Grodno region, 453 health camps functioned in the first shift, of which 389 - with daytime and 64 - with round-the-clock stay of children, including 22 stationary camps.
For suburban recovery of children, the base of stationary camps is used as much as possible. Their average occupancy rate meets the requirements of temporary guidelines for preventing the introduction and spread of coronavirus infection. In 22 such camps, 2,639 children were rehabilitated. In the districts, the practice of organizing tent camps on the basis of out-of-town stationary ones is used.
Due attention has been paid to improving the health of children of privileged categories. In the first shift, 340 orphans and 117 disabled children were rehabilitated in all types of camps. In camps with round-the-clock stay, for this category of children, an additional payment is provided up to the full cost of the voucher at the expense of the regional budget.
Traditionally, a camp "Science" for gifted children worked in the region on the basis of the Porech sanatorium boarding school.
On June 21, on the basis of the regional institute for the development of education, the profile camp "ProfSTART" began to work. His pupils were 10th grade children attending the electives "Introduction to agricultural professions" and "Introduction to the teaching profession". For 15 days, they will interact with professionals in their field, receive specialized support and supervision, learn about the intricacies of professions, and be able to prove themselves in many creative events. Teenagers will take part in the youth expedition “Trails of Memory. Routes of Unity ”, in the project“ Star-teenager ”, in the master class“ Summer floristry ”, they will visit the museum of the history of the fire service, the museum of beekeeping.
In the region, constant preventive monitoring of the activities of the camps by the relevant services has been organized. In this case, the main attention is paid to compliance with the requirements of sanitary norms, rules and recommendations. The monitoring covered all 24-hour first-shift camps and most day camps.
