Improving the health of children in the Minsk region during the autumn holidays of 2021

In the Minsk region, during the autumn holidays from October 30 to November 7, 2021, 330 health camps were organized with a day stay for children on the basis of general secondary institutions, additional education for children and youth, in which 9 712 students received health improvement, of which about half were for rural children.
The work of health camps in the Minsk region in educational institutions was organized on the basis of the following documents: acceptance certificate; orders on the organization of a health camp, on the enrollment of children in the camp; a plan of educational activities approved by the head of the health camp; daily routine and work schedule of educators.
In all health camps, the necessary conditions were created to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19. All camps were equipped with personal protective equipment: antiseptics, masks, gloves. The detachments are formed no more than 15 people in each. Each detachment is assigned play rooms, the stay of children in strictly assigned places is organized. The arrangement of furniture in the premises was carried out in compliance with the principle of social distancing. Dispensers with hand sanitizer are installed at the entrances to buildings. Daily "morning filters" were carried out with obligatory thermometry in order to identify and prevent pupils with signs of respiratory diseases from entering the detachment. The unification of pupils from different detachments into one group is excluded. Cultural and sports and recreational activities were organized in the open air.
Children-orphans (158 people), children with disabilities (144 people), children from low-income (290 people), large families (2,520 people) were primarily involved in children's health camps. Much attention was paid to the employment and organization of leisure time during the holidays for adolescents prone to deviant behavior, children in a socially dangerous situation (440 students), as well as students with whom individual preventive work is carried out (121 people). During the holidays, such children had the opportunity to attend sports sections, associations of interests, participated in trainings, consultations of psychologists and social educators.
Meals were organized on the basis of approximate diets, developed taking into account age categories, the physiological needs of the child's body, based on the principle of gentle nutrition, with the exception of the most difficult to digest and spicy foods. The menu includes fruits, juices in a variety of assortments, bifidine. In each health camp, by order of the educational institution, a marriage committee was created. Laboratory control over the quality and safety of prepared food was carried out in accordance with the requirements of sanitary norms and rules. The requirements of fire safety and sanitary and epidemiological safety, safety precautions were observed in the organization of educational and sports and recreational work.
In general, the mass sports festivals, game programs, civil-patriotic, environmental actions and other events have become a favorable sphere for self-realization of students, their recreation and health improvement.
