In the Minsk region, during the autumn holidays from November 1 to November 9, 2019, health camps were organized with children staying on the basis of institutions of general secondary, additional education for children and youth, in which 9 643 students in 274 camps received rehabilitation, about half of them rural children.
The enrollment of students in health camps was carried out strictly according to the declarative principle, the wishes of children and their parents were taken into account. First of all, orphans (138 people), disabled children (111 people), children from low-income (484 people), and large families (2,320 people) families were involved in children's health camps. Much attention was paid to employment and organization of leisure activities on vacation for adolescents prone to deviant behavior, children in socially dangerous situations (206 students), registered with the Inspectorate for Minors (48 children). During the holidays, such children had the opportunity to attend sports sections, interest groups, participated in trainings, consultations with psychologists and social educators, and took an active part in educational events.
Before the holidays, safety education classes were held in all educational institutions to teach students the rules of safe behavior during the autumn holidays. Students and their legal representatives were informed about the employment of children during the holidays, about the schedule of public events.
Prevention of childhood road traffic injuries, fires and death on them is one of the important areas of educational work during the holidays. In all health camps, interdepartmental thematic events were held to conduct safe behavior on roads, ponds, in the forest, and to prevent traffic accidents involving children and adolescents. These are round tables on the topic "Safe Holidays", "Be careful pedestrian." Safety days “Caution! Dangers are near!”, In the framework of which contests of drawings “My safe road to school”, conversations with the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the topic: “Your safety is in your hands”, talks about the prevention of road accidents will be organized. Competitions of experts on the rules of the road “Know and Follow”, “Traffic Lights Have No Vacations”, game programs “Red, Yellow, Green”, “Respect the Rules of the Road” allowed us to form a steady cognitive interest in this topic, taught to analyze and correctly evaluate their actions and deeds of comrades, to cultivate a sense of responsibility among students during the holidays for personal safety, value attitude to their health and life. Excursions to the fire department were organized, meetings with inspectors of the traffic police, IDN. Security minutes were spent daily.
The health centers of tourist and regional studies, ecological and naturalistic, sports and recreational, cultural and other masses were in greatest demand.
All students were involved in sports and recreational and sports events (outdoor games "Hour of Fun", sports and competitions). For example, in the Olympiets camp, 60 students of the Logoisk Integrated Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve GUO were engaged in winter-sports training classes: biathlon, skiing. Particular attention was paid to the organization of various sporting events: futsal tournaments, handball, volleyball, biathlon, and orienteering competitions.
The work on the formation of healthy lifestyle skills using interactive forms (talk shows, role-playing games, intellectual auctions) was intensified. In the libraries for children, events were organized "Have a rest, but do not forget to read," "Books have no vacation."
In the State Educational Institution "Kamensk Educational-Pedagogical Complex Kindergarten Secondary School", the project "The Wonderful Weighing on the Grounds of Belarus ..." was implemented, within the framework of which the children got acquainted with the historical places of their land and its old-timers. Unknown corners of a small homeland were studied and a virtual museum of an educational institution replenished with new exhibits. In the camp of the GUO "Secondary School No. 1 of Logoisk", 50 students of grades 5-8 were able to acquire new knowledge and skills in the camp "ProfiLend", where every day the children learned about different professions. The entertaining and educational program of the camp assumed an individual approach and was aimed at preparing students for the choice of a profession.
Many students visited sightseeing sites and tourist routes: the city of Lida and the city of Polotsk, the Khatyn memorial, made a sightseeing tour of Minsk with a visit to the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the city of Nesvizh, the regional security center of the Ministry of Emergencies in Borisov, Republican Center for Innovation and Technical Creativity.
During the autumn holidays, students were able to participate in labor activities to improve the school’s territories and provide all possible assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
Food in the camps is organized on the basis of food standards and monetary standards for food expenses established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
In general, the ongoing mass sports holidays, game programs, civic-patriotic, environmental actions and other events have become a favorable area for students to fulfill their potential, to rest and improve their health. Each educational institution during the autumn holidays has become a comfortable and safe place for children to stay.
