About health improvement of schoolchildren of the Brest region during the autumn holidays of 2020

11-Nov-2020
The autumn holidays, which the children were looking forward to with great impatience, are over. An excellent way out in organizing children's leisure for the vacation period is a health camp with a day stay. While the parents are working, the child has a rest, communicates with his peers and gets a lot of positive emotions under the supervision of attentive qualified personnel. The undoubted plus of the health camp is three full hot meals a day.
In the conditions of an unfavorable epidemic situation, special attention was paid to the safety of the stay of children in health camps.
In accordance with the Interim Guidelines for the Prevention of the Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19), when organizing the work of health and spa organizations, which were developed by competent services before the start of the summer health campaign, all health camps ensured daily monitoring of the health of children. regular wet cleaning of all rooms using disinfectants. At the morning reception of children, thermometry was carried out, maximum separation of children was ensured when organizing daytime sleep, nutrition. Entertainment programs were organized in such a way as to exclude a large number of children in one place and mainly in the fresh air. During the medical examination, receiving, distributing food and serving the dinner tables, the camp workers used personal protective equipment
During the autumn holidays, 7.5 thousand schoolchildren of the Brest region were rehabilitated. Recreation camps are organized at the bases of 253 institutions of general secondary education, additional education for children and youth, and at the bases of specialized educational and sports institutions.
The average cost of a ticket to a health camp for a period of 6 days in the region was 37 rubles 50 kopecks. Each child received state aid in the form of a reduction in the cost of vouchers in the amount of 4 rubles 20 kopecks per bed-day.
Particular attention is paid to the improvement of socially unprotected categories of children. 95 orphans, 75 disabled children, 283 children who are in preventive care and in a socially dangerous situation have been recovered.
Every day in the camp was full of various exciting activities. In a short time, schoolchildren learned something new, met new friends, received positive emotions and a positive charge. In addition, each child was able to attend additional classes that were organized at the request of students. Classes were held in mathematics, physics, foreign languages, Russian and Belarusian languages and other academic subjects.
For example, in the Kobrin region from October 31 to November 6, 23 school health camps were organized. In total, there were 511 students on recovery (https://youtu.be/sla9hney1iA).
Work was in full swing in the detachment offices from the first day of the camp shift. Conversations were held about the rules of conduct in the camp and public places, respiratory etiquette and personal hygiene, about the rules of the road. And in conclusion, I would like to note that thanks to the socially oriented policy of the state, our children have the opportunity during the holidays not only to improve their health, but also to have an interesting, exciting and useful time.
And also a fun opening and closing of the camp shift, master classes, squad days, sports competitions, outdoor games, computer games, a competition of outfits made of natural materials, competitions of drawings and staged fairy tales, watching cartoons, literary quizzes, game programs, walks on fresh air and much more.
Every day in the camps began with morning exercises, during which each child received a charge of cheerfulness and positiveness.

The children attended a master class at the Kobrin Palace of Culture, where they made crafts from semolina. Working with semolina activates the child's creative resources, prevents emotional overload and develops the cognitive interest of students. The result of the master class was an individual craft that can be a gift for any occasion.

Pupils of health camps made excursions to the park. A.V. Suvorov and with great interest the guys watched the squirrels, ducks and swans, who feasted on the brought treats.

How much invention, creativity, imagination the guys showed together with their counselors and educators.

And in conclusion, I would like to note that thanks to the socially oriented policy of the state, our children have the opportunity to spend time interestingly, excitingly and usefully during the holidays.
