The results of the work of the Gomel region on the organization of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation of the population for 2022

In the Gomel region, great importance is attached to the fulfillment of tasks to ensure state-guaranteed social benefits and the rights of the population in the field of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation.

According to the results of work for 2022, 148,708 residents of the Gomel region were provided with sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation using the funds of the republican budget and the budget of the state non-budgetary fund for social protection of the population, which is almost 14,000 people. more compared to 2021. 80.00 million rubles of state funds were spent on the implementation of these tasks.

According to the vouchers purchased at the expense of the republican budget, 3957 non-working pensioners were sent for sanatorium-resort treatment, of which 992 citizens were entitled to free extraordinary and priority sanatorium-and-spa treatment, including 13 disabled people and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and 62 a disabled person of groups I, II, enjoying benefits under Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 01/06/2009 "On social protection of citizens affected by the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, other radiation accidents". 144 people were provided with sanatorium-and-spa treatment for pensioners of power structures.

6,405 people, including 2,572 minors, received sanatorium and resort treatment on vouchers purchased at the expense of state social insurance funds.

The focus is on the health of children with disabilities. In 2022, 802 disabled children were provided with vouchers for sanatorium and resort treatment, of which: at the expense of the republican budget for vouchers for disabled children - 504 children; at the expense of the republican budget funds aimed at overcoming the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, 263 children; at the expense of state social insurance funds 35 disabled children.

One of the priority tasks of the region is to provide sanatorium-and-spa treatment and rehabilitation for children living or studying in areas contaminated with radionuclides. At the expense of the republican budget funds provided for overcoming the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, 61,075 children were allocated for sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation, which is almost 4,000 more than in 2021:

        on vouchers for parents with children from 3 to 6 years old, 2,133 children were provided with sanatorium-and-spa treatment;

        1556 children are provided with health improvement in country camps during the summer period;

         57,383 children were sent to sanatorium-and-spa treatment and rehabilitation as part of organized groups.

An important direction in the work of the representative office is the organization of the rehabilitation of children during the vacation period in camps of various types.

In 2022, 2,250 camps were organized on the territory of the Gomel region according to profiles and areas of activity, in which 69,696 children improved their health, which is 5,500 more compared to 2021. Thus, in addition to 1,556 children sent to health camps at the expense of the republican budget, provided for overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, 68,140 children underwent rehabilitation in camps using public funds to reduce the cost of a ticket to health camps, of which 451 are disabled children.

On February 16, 2023, a regional meeting was held, at which the results of the work of the representative office of the Gomel Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population were highlighted and tasks for 2023 were outlined.
