XXXII International Arts Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk"

18-July-2023

From July 12 to 17, 2023, the XXXII International Arts Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held in Vitebsk.

On July 13, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko solemnly opened the 32nd International Festival.

The main mission of the festival is creation. Slavic unity grows stronger every year, and the events held within the framework of the Slavic Bazaar only strengthen this unity.

For many years, the festival has been held at a high level, thanks to which it managed to become the most important platform for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding, strengthening and development of international cooperation and direct ties.

We are happy to note that the festival develops from year to year, each time surprising the participants with new formats and creative approaches, and the city transforms in anticipation of the forum and warmly welcomes guests.

The XXI International Children's Music Competition "VITEBSK-2023" traditionally gathered performers aged 8 to 14 years.

This year, 18 young vocalists from Belarus, Russia, Colombia, Italy, Estonia and other countries fought for the right to be the best. For the first time, a representative of Australia took part in vocal competitions.

Traditionally, the organizers turn the children's competition into a bright holiday, which begins with the drawing of lots, which this time was unusual.

Boys and girls found numbers under which they would perform in New Year's balls and presents under the tree. Sofia Rustamova, a 14-year-old representative of Belarus from Brest, wanted to perform last. As a result, the girl got the ball with number 1, and the right to open the first competition day.

In the midst of the XXXII arts festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk - 2023", a friendly team of children from the sports and recreation camp "Lesnaya Skazka" of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Polotsk Regional Executive Committee visited the cultural capital of the Republic of Belarus and attended the concert of the International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk". The boys returned to their favorite camp with positive emotions.
