The season of mass summer children's recreation is coming to an end and children will remember with nostalgia the interesting time spent in health camps, new acquaintances and meetings.

The rest of children in the health camps of the Brest region is organized in a variety of ways. The life of the guys is quite eventful. Sportlands, quizzes, relay races, competitions between squads, game programs, music competitions, excursions and various other events are held daily. Instructive conversations are also held with the guys, and they relate to various topics - the harm of drugs, alcohol and smoking, behavior with strangers, the benefits of playing sports, etc.

For three shifts in the summer period of this year, 60.2 thousand children have already rested in health camps of various types. Organized 909 health camps of various types.

It should be noted that much attention in the region was paid to the patriotic education of children. In the region, 129 patriotic camps/shifts/detachments were organized in three shifts, 7480 children improved their health in them.

For example, on the basis of the Youth Patriotic Center branch of the BGOTSMT, which is located in the Brest Fortress, 84 children were rehabilitated in a health camp of a military-sports profile with a round-the-clock stay for a period of 9 days in three shifts. On the basis of military unit 92504, 90 children studying in educational institutions of the Brest region underwent rehabilitation in three shifts. Also, on the basis of two stationary health camps of the region (“Sputnik” and “Porechye” of the education departments of the Luninets and Pinsk district executive committees, respectively), shifts were organized for a period of stay of 9 days of the defense and sports profile for the recovery of 280 children.

During the summer health campaign, work continues on the implementation of the information and educational project "Step to Success" with the organization of motivational conversations aimed at forming civic and patriotic consciousness among young people, popularizing family values, achievements of national culture and modern Belarus, involving authoritative media in this work. individuals, representatives of the power bloc, education, healthcare, sports, culture, science, public associations and leading enterprises of the country.

So, on July 22, the discussion platform "Step to Success" was held in the State Educational Institution "Health Camp "Volna - Lyuban" of the Kobrin District" as part of the "Talk about the main thing" project. The speaker was the Olympic champion Yulia Nesterenko. Vacationers were able to ask questions about their career, training and the gold medal won. During the conversation, Yulia Viktorovna shared her formula for success and wished all those present good luck in their studies, sports and other areas.

On July 25, vacationers of the Stroitel recreation camp visited military unit 57314. The employees of this unit helped to plunge into the world of military service, which is unusual for children, to become for a moment a small part of our valiant army. The guys visited the barracks, played table tennis, tried on military uniforms and even tried to reload a training pistol.

July 27 at the State Educational Institution "Health Camp" Salyut "g. Brest, the guys talked with Sergei Polyachuk - an illusionist magician, a talented musician, author and performer of wonderful songs. Sergey shared with the guys the secrets of his success, and also showed the wonders of the secret world of the illusionist. Also at the meeting was the first secretary of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of the Brest region Segenyuk Yuri Sergeevich. Pupils with great pleasure asked the guests about their life path, difficulties and successes.

Particular attention is paid to the improvement of children of socially unprotected categories. Over the past period, 1,358 orphans, 739 disabled children, 1,472 children who are on preventive records and in a socially dangerous situation, and 10,814 children from large families have been rehabilitated.

It should be noted that for the first time in the region from July 22 to July 30, 2023, a specialized shift was organized for 7 disabled children diagnosed with diabetes, accompanied by their parents, on the basis of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "HICC" Svitanak ", Pinsk district. The doctor-endocrinologist of the healthcare institution "Pinsk Central Polyclinic" organized a consultation appointment for children, and a conversation was held with parents about the rules for organizing food and life for children with this diagnosis, providing first aid when the child's condition worsens, using glucometers, test strips and syringe pens , insulin injections.
