How to teach boys to stand up for themselves, their families, their homeland? Help to become stronger, more confident, more determined and bolder? Where can you study military affairs and see how military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus goes if you are under 18? Where can the guys see and feel army life from the inside - live in tents, adjust to a certain daily routine, acquire new knowledge and skills?

For this purpose, together with employees of military units, border outposts, educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies, in the summer of 2023, work was organized for the capital's schoolchildren 83 camps of a military-patriotic profile with daytime and round-the-clock stay, covering 2150 children. Everything here is aimed at the military-patriotic education of children so that they become more collected, disciplined and serious, reconsider their attitude to social networks and empty pastime, and also understand that love for the Motherland and the duty to protect it are not just words, but a duty. every citizen.

Traditionally, in every district of Minsk, military-patriotic day camps were opened at the bases of youth pre-conscription training centers. 1262 students of the capital's schools had the opportunity to get acquainted with the everyday life of military personnel, to comprehend the basics of military service. Classes for the guys were conducted by the most experienced officers. In addition to military affairs and physical training, numerous excursions, competitions, military sports games and relay races were organized for the camp inmates.

35 military-patriotic camps with round-the-clock stay were organized for Minsk schoolchildren. For nine days, 888 boys and girls adopted the experience of senior teachers: they were engaged in drill training, assembled and disassembled weapons, practiced power techniques, learned to navigate the terrain ... Of course, they made a discount for age. Otherwise, everything is like in the army.

Once again, on the basis of the military unit 3214 of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, a round-the-clock military-patriotic camp “Valor” functioned.

This summer, six 9-day shifts took place here, the last one will complete its work on August 29. About 300 teenagers aged from 9 to 15 years old had a rest and joined the military life in the camp. Among them were children from foster families, as well as those registered with the juvenile affairs inspectorate, recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation, in need of state protection.

Every day the pupils studied the subjects of combat training of special forces, practiced in the provision of military medical care, mastered the skills of shooting from airsoft, pneumatic and firearms. Classes were regularly held on the basics of life safety: the younger generation must understand how to behave in a particular emergency. In addition, there was an opportunity to get acquainted with the equipment that is in service with the military unit, to try their hand at hand-to-hand combat.

Also, in the 2-shift mode, the military-patriotic camp "Courage" functioned on the basis of the 120th separate guards mechanized brigade in the summer of 2023. 63 teenagers from the Physical Culture and Sports Center for Children and Youth of the Pervomaisky district of the city of Minsk rested and improved their health in the camp.

The routine here is army: getting up, exercising, making beds, washing, breakfast, classes. The schedule also includes excursions to the museums of the city of Minsk. During the classes, the children got acquainted with the models of weapons, military and special equipment, which is in service with the unit, and also competed in sports games.
