Health improvement and sanatorium-resort treatment children's population of the Mogilev region, victims of the Chernobyl accident for 9 months of 2023

Over the 9 months of 2023 in the Mogilev region, 4,791 children from areas of the region affected by the Chernobyl disaster benefited from sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation, which is 71.9 percent of the plan. Of these, 4,658 children are part of organized groups, 132 children aged 3 to 6 years living in the territory of radioactive contamination accompanied by their parents, 1 disabled child.

Children received health improvement and treatment in 19 health resorts located both on the territory of the republic and abroad. 52 schoolchildren from the Bykhovsky and Krasnopolsky districts took advantage of sanatorium-resort treatment at the Belaya Rus sanatorium (Tuapse).

Since September 5 of this year, 25 children and adolescents of the Cherikovsky district went for sanatorium-resort treatment to the Shakhtinsky Tekstilshchik sanatorium (Tuapse) at the expense of the Union State budget.

During the current period of 2023, 5 disabled people of the 2nd group of the Chernobyl NPP (Article 18) benefited from treatment in health resorts.

In total, it is planned to improve the health of 7,349 children and adolescents in 2023.
