The Brest Regional Executive Committee supported the initiative of the Alexei Talai charity fund and proposed to organize the rehabilitation of children and their accompanying persons from the Donetsk People's Republic in the beginning of November 2023 on the basis of the Children's Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Center "Kolos" (hereinafter referred to as "Kolos" Children's Rehabilitation Center).

On the evening of October 30, about 40 children from Mariupol and Dokuchaevsk of the Donetsk People's Republic met in the city of Minsk. The next day, after a short sightseeing tour of the capital of the Republic of Belarus, they went on vacation to the "Kolos" recreation center, where they were met by the deputy chairman of the Brest regional executive committee, V.V. Kravchuk, the head and specialists of the main education department of the regional executive committee. Those who met spoke warmly with the guys, wished them a good rest, and at the end of the meeting they handed over a basket of sweets from the chairman of the regional executive committee Yu.V. Shuleyko.

A medical examination is organized for the children who arrived at the institution, and a course of sanatorium-resort treatment is offered to those who need it, including speleotherapy, balneogryazelechenie, heat treatment, apparatus physiotherapy, various types of baths, massage.

In addition, a rich cultural program was prepared for vacationers from the Donetsk People's Republic. They will visit the historical places of the Brest region, get acquainted with the memorial complex "Brest Hero Fortress", visit the National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" and the estate of the Belarusian Santa Claus. The program of events includes a visit to the Kobrin Water Park, the Security Center of the Brest Regional Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. As part of industrial tourism, the children are waiting for interesting excursions to the "PP Polesie" LLC, where children's toys are made, as well as the Kobrin dairy and cheese factory, where ice cream is produced.
