06-Nov-2024

The state institution "Republican sanatorium "Belaya Vezha" for veterans of war, labor and the disabled" celebrated its 25th anniversary. The history of this institution dates back to 1993, when it was decided to create a sanatorium on the basis of the former barracks housing stock of the military town. In the period from 1994 to 1999, a dormitory for 108 people, administration and food block buildings, auxiliary utility buildings were built. On October 25, 1999, the sanatorium "Belaya Vezha" received its first vacationers. Annual strengthening of the material and technical base, phased commissioning of new facilities and buildings, improvement of the territory with an original landscape design, constantly developing medical facilities, the work of highly qualified specialists, a large selection of modern diagnostic and treatment and rehabilitation services turned this health resort into a modern institution for 250 people. Every year, about 5 thousand vacationers undergo spa treatment at the sanatorium.

On October 25, 2024, a festive event with a concert program was held, at which the results of a quarter of a century of continuous work aimed at maintaining and improving the health of vacationers were summed up. The ceremonial event was attended by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Valery Kovalkov, Director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population Henadzi Balbatouski, representatives of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Kamenets District Executive Committee and other honorary guests, as well as staff and veterans of the health resort.
