Key performance indicators of sanatorium and health-improving organizations in 2022

As of January 1, 2023, the network of sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations consists of 295 facilities with a total bed capacity of 61 thousand beds. Including 102 sanatorium and resort organizations for 28 thousand places and 193 health organizations for 33 thousand places.
With an average annual occupancy rate of about 80 percent, the material and technical base of health resorts allows them to annually cover more than 1 million 300 thousand people with their services. For its development in 2022, health resorts used more than 98 million rubles, which is 17 percent more than a year earlier (84 million rubles).
The HICC “Zhemchuzhina” (24.2 million rubles), the sanatorium of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Yunost” (6.4 million rubles) and the sanatorium of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection “Vyazhuti” (5. 5 million rubles).
The medical and health complex is 95 percent staffed, including 93 percent with medical workers. Most of the medical workers at health resorts have the first or highest qualification category.
In the first year of the coronavirus pandemic, we maintained the material and technical base and human resources of the medical and health complex, in 2021 we ensured a recovery in the main indicators of its activity, and in 2022 we reached pre-epidemic performance indicators:
1 million 425 thousand people underwent sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation, which is 12 percent more than in 2021 (1 million 272 thousand people) and 2.6 percent more than in 2019 (1 million people). 389 thousand people);
the average occupancy of the health and wellness complex was 80 percent, which is 6 percentage points higher than in 2021 (74 percent), but 4 percent lower than in 2019 (84 percent);
total revenue from the sale of medical and health services amounted to 877 million rubles, which is 30 percent higher than in 2021 (674 million rubles) and 32 percent higher than in 2019 (666 million rubles);
revenue from the sale of additional paid services amounted to 177 million rubles, which is 36 percent higher than in 2021 (129.6 million rubles) and one and a half times higher than in 2019 (115.9 million rubles);
revenue from the sale of additional paid medical services amounted to 70 million rubles, which is 31 percent higher than in 2021 (53.6 million rubles), and one and a half times higher than in 2019 (45.2 million rubles) .
The development of the market for medical and health services is best characterized by the following indicators:
661 thousand people underwent sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation without the use of budget funding, which is almost 15 percent more than in 2021 (576.2 thousand people) and almost 11 percent higher than in 2019 (594.8 thousand persons);
total revenue from the sale of services to these persons amounted to 656.2 million rubles, which is 38 percent higher than in 2021 (475.9 million rubles) and 43 percent higher than in 2019 (460.1 million rubles).
The largest share of such persons were citizens of the Republic of Belarus - 472 thousand people, which is 8 percent more than in 2021 (437 thousand people), and 34 percent more than in 2019 (352 thousand people).
Revenue from the sale of services to our citizens amounted to 411 million rubles, which is 25 percent higher than in 2021 (329.7 million rubles) and 1.7 times higher than in 2019 (244.5 million rubles).
Export figures also increased significantly in 2022:
More than 188 thousand foreign citizens underwent sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation in health resorts of the Republic of Belarus, which is 35 percent more than in 2021 (139.4 thousand people), but 22 percent less than in 2019, a record year for this indicator. year (242.8 thousand people);
However, revenue from the export of Belarusian medical and health services amounted to more than 245 million rubles, which is 1.7 times higher than in 2021 (146.2 million rubles) and 14 percent higher than in 2019 (215. 6 million rubles).
The largest volume of revenue from the export of services per bed in 2022 was achieved by sanatorium and resort organizations in the Grodno region (11.4 thousand rubles), the smallest by health resorts in Minsk (1.1 thousand rubles).
In general, the best results were achieved by sanatorium and resort organizations in the Vitebsk region, which scored the highest overall score when assessing the main performance indicators of health resorts in the Republic of Belarus. Also among the leaders are health resorts in the Minsk and Brest regions.
The stable operation of the medical and health complex is largely ensured by citizens exercising their right to sanatorium treatment and recovery.
In 2022, all social projects and activities of state programs for sanatorium-resort treatment and public health improvement were completed in full. 220.6 million rubles of budget funds were used for these purposes.
765 thousand people were provided with free or reduced-price trips, which is 10 percent more than in 2021 (696 thousand people).
When organizing sanatorium-resort treatment and improving the health of the population, the state pays the greatest attention to minor children. More than 70 percent of the total funding allocated to the Center is annually used to purchase and reduce the cost of vouchers for them.
In 2022, medical and health services covered all children who wanted and needed them – 686.3 thousand people, or about half of the total child population of the Republic of Belarus. 160.5 million rubles of budget funds were used to organize their sanatorium-resort treatment and recovery.
Minor children who do not need sanatorium-resort treatment are sent for rehabilitation. Most of them improve their health during the summer holidays, so the state pays special attention to organizing and conducting children's summer health campaigns.
In the summer of 2022, 375 thousand children were treated in health, sports and recreation camps of all types, which is 9 percent more than a year earlier. The students' needs for summer recreation were fully satisfied. At the same time, unlike last year, the planned volumes of children’s health improvement were fulfilled in all regions of the Republic of Belarus.
In 2023, free and reduced-cost trips will be issued to 795 thousand citizens, including 730 thousand children, including 86.2 thousand children affected by the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster (together with accompanying persons), and about 8.5 thousand .disabled children.
390 thousand children will be provided with organized summer recreation and health improvement in health, sports and recreation camps.
