On the recovery and sanatorium treatment of the children of the Mogilev region by the Chernobyl disaster for 9 months of 2019

For 9 months of 2019, in the Mogilev region, 7098 children and adolescents affected by the Chernobyl disaster benefited from sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation, which makes up 76.0 percent of the plan. Of these, 6865 are children in organized groups, 226 children aged 3 to 6 years living in the territory of radioactive contamination accompanied by their parents, 8 disabled children from the affected areas.
Children received rehabilitation and treatment in 19 health centers located both on the territory of the republic and abroad. 55 children and adolescents of the Mogilev region used spa treatment in the sanatorium "Belarus" (Sochi), 43 children each in the Slavgorod and Chausky districts in the sanatorium "Belaya Rus" (Tuapse).
Since September 20 of this year, 50 children and adolescents from the Bykhov and Belynich districts went to the Yantar sanatorium (resort city Anapa, Krasnodar Territory) for spa treatment at the expense of the Union State budget.
For the current period of 2019, 11 disabled people of the 2nd group of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (Article 18) used the treatment in health centers, which is 100 percent of the plan.
In total, in 2019 it is planned to improve 9345 children and adolescents.
