For 9 months of 2019, 67426 people were recovered in the Mogilev region using state social insurance funds and the republican budget.
At the expense of state social insurance funds, through the commissions for the rehabilitation and sanatorium-and-spa treatment of enterprises, organizations from among working citizens and their minor children, 4383 people were sent for sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation, of which 2374 were children, which amounted to 29.5 percent of number of needy.
Particular attention is paid to the improvement of the most socially vulnerable categories of citizens. First of all, these are children under the age of 18 who have a disability.
For January-September of this year free of charge aimed at the spa treatment of 230 disabled children, including. A total of 39.5 percent of the number of children with disabilities who have been treated have recovered.
Also, free of charge, at the expense of the republican budget, vouchers for sanatorium-resort treatment were allocated for 14 disabled people and participants in the Great Patriotic War and 887 unemployed disabled people of I and II groups, which are entitled to priority vouchers.
With a partial payment of the cost of the vouchers, 2154 people were sent to sanatorium-resort organizations, from among non-working labor veterans and disabled people of group III, including those who are pensioners of law enforcement agencies.
Special attention is paid to the health of the population affected by the Chernobyl accident, and above all, children living and studying in territories contaminated with radionuclides.
For this category of children, an annual free spa treatment and rehabilitation is provided - one of the most significant and effective measures to reduce the negative impact of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster on their health.
For 9 months of this year 7308 of such children underwent spa treatment and rehabilitation in the region, including 893 preschool and primary school age, 8 disabled children, 222 aged 3 to 6 years, accompanied by one of the parents. Also, 11 non-working disabled people of the I and II groups who suffered from the Chernobyl disaster were rehabilitated.
In the region, one hundred percent coverage with sanatorium-resort treatment is provided for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster who have appropriate medical indications.
Also, during the reporting period, 412 students and 51,984 schoolchildren were recuperated in health camps.
Of the total number of healthy people in the Mogilev region using state funds in January-September 2019, 91.9 percent are children.
