On the recovery of children in the Gomel region during the winter holidays of the 2019-2020 school year

According to preliminary data, in the Gomel region during the winter holidays of the 2019-2020 academic year, about 400 recreation camps of various profiles with a daily stay of 9 days will operate on the bases of general secondary education, additional education for children and youth, specialized educational and sports institutions, in which more than 10,200 children will be rehabilitated. It is also planned to organize a profile camp with a round-the-clock stay of at least 9 days for 30 children at the GUO Center for Tourism and Local Lore of Children and Youth of the Gomel Region, Starye Dyatlovichi, Gomel Region.
For these purposes, about 390.00 thousand rubles were allocated from the republican budget to reduce the cost of tickets to health camps. The amount of money to reduce the cost of a ticket to a recreation camp with a daily stay of one bed day for each child is 4 rubles 20 kopecks, and to a camp with round-the-clock stay for at least 9 days - 84 rubles.
The average cost of trips to health camps with a daily stay depending on the age of the child is planned in the amount of: for children 6-10 years old - 39.38 rubles, 11-13 years old - 43.07 rubles, 14-17 years old - 46.87 rubles.
The average cost of a ticket to a health camp with a round-the-clock stay depending on the age of the child is planned in the amount of: for children 11-13 years old - 95.00 rubles, 14-17 years old - 99.00 rubles.
Particular attention will be paid to the rehabilitation of minors from large, low-income and single-parent families, in socially dangerous situations and consisting of various types of records, intra-school control, children from foster and guardian families. When children are enrolled in the camp, these children are given an advantage.
During the shift in the camps will be organized: volunteer matinees, contests and games, outdoor walks, excursions, watching movies, relay races, sports, as well as various interesting New Year's events.
One of the important areas of educational work during the winter holidays is the prevention of childhood injuries. For this purpose, it is planned to cooperate with energy supervision institutions, medical institutions, IDN, GAI, OVSOD, MES. In the camps, lectures and interagency thematic talks, film lectures will be held informing children about the rules of safe behavior during the winter holidays when crossing the roadway, near water bodies, in the event of a fire, when handling electrical appliances, about the dangers of smoking and alcohol.
Activities planned during the winter holidays in the camps will be aimed at preserving and strengthening the health of children, the development of civic, patriotic, environmental and spiritual moral education, the preservation of Belarusian traditions, the prevention of injuries, and the formation of rules for safe behavior.
