On the organization of the work of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-and-Resort Treatment

Given the current epidemiological situation in the Republic of Belarus on coronavirus infection, the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-and-Resort Treatment of the population (hereinafter referred to as the Center) has limited since April 10, and from May 01, 2020 suspended the issuance of vouchers and referrals for spa treatment (rehabilitation) of all categories of citizens. A number of health resorts in the Vitebsk, Grodno and Minsk regions during this period were redesigned to meet the needs of healthcare.
Taking into account the epidemiological situation in the Minsk region, Order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated 18.05.2020 No. 54/53, agreed with the Center, the procedure for referral to sanatorium-resort treatment (aftercare) to sanatorium-resort organizations was determined, subordinate to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for a period of 14 calendar days, pensioners and disabled people of groups 1 and 2 after suffering pneumonia associated with COVID-19 infection from health organizations located in Minsk and the Minsk region. On May 20, 2020, this category of citizens was sent to the State Institution "Republican Sanatorium for the Disabled with Disabilities of the Vyazuti Musculoskeletal System (hereinafter referred to as the "Vyazuti Sanatorium") and to the State Institution "Republican Sanatorium "Berezina" for Veterans of War, Labor and Disabled".
In preparation for the summer health campaign for children, carried out in the context of the risks of the occurrence and spread of coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus together with the Center on 29.05.2020 developed temporary guidelines for the prevention of the introduction and spread of COVID-19 infection when organizing health and sanatorium organizations during the summer health campaign for children in 2020
Since June 15, 2020, the Center resumed issuing permits and referrals for sanatorium-resort treatment (rehabilitation) according to the application and territorial principles for working citizens and children, including as part of organized groups, with the exception of disabled children.
According to the order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, in agreement with the Center dated 23.06.2020 No. 64/659, labor veterans and disabled people of groups 1 and 2 who had pneumonia associated with COVID-19 infection living in the Brest and Minsk regions , granted the right to an extraordinary spa treatment in the spa organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, with the exception of the Vyazuti sanatorium.
On June 25, 2020, the Center instructed its specialists in the regions, when allocating permits to the commissions for rehabilitation and sanatorium-and-spa treatment of the population, created in organizations for workers and their children, to recommend giving priority permits to people who had pneumonia associated with COVID-19 infection.
From 29.06.2020, the Center resumes the issuance of permits and referrals for spa treatment according to the application and territorial principles of all categories of citizens.
