On the improvement of the population of the Mogilev region for 10 months of 2020

In order to provide the fullest possible coverage of citizens in need of sanatorium-resort treatment, determined by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 28.08.2006 No. 542 "On sanatorium-resort treatment and health improvement of the population", planned organizational work is being carried out in the Mogilev region aimed at meeting the needs of the region's population in health improvement and spa treatment.
For ten months of this year, according to operational data in the Mogilev region, 13 447 people have been rehabilitated on vouchers purchased by the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population at the expense of state social insurance and the republican budget.
With the use of funds from the state non-budgetary Fund for Social Protection of the Population, 4,748 people, including 2,734 children, underwent health improvement and sanatorium treatment.
Social support for invalids and participants of the Great Patriotic War, invalids of the 1st and 2nd groups, pensioners who are labor veterans is also one of the priority tasks of the state social policy.
At the expense of the republican budget, 15 disabled people and participants of the Great Patriotic War, including those equated with benefits, 1375 people from among non-working pensioners and disabled people through the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, 354 students, 175 representatives of law enforcement agencies, 215 disabled children under the age of 18 accompanied by their parents.
The priority area of ​​work is the provision of sanatorium-resort treatment and health improvement for children aged 3 to 18 years. Special attention is paid to children living and studying in the territories of the republic contaminated with radionuclides. In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Catastrophe at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Other Radiation Accidents", 6,555 children and adolescents who suffered from the Chernobyl disaster took advantage of the sanatorium treatment and health improvement, including 6409 people in organized groups , 146 children from 3 to 6 years old accompanied by one of the parents. Children received health improvement and treatment in 19 health resorts located both on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and abroad.
