During 2020, using state social insurance funds, 10,954 working citizens of the city and their minor children were directed to sanatorium-resort treatment and health improvement.

The priority direction of the state policy in the sanatorium treatment and health improvement of the population is the health improvement of children.
For the vouchers purchased from all sources of funding, sanatorium treatment was used 4829 children, including 1535 children underwent treatment together with one of the parents.

Based on the reporting data provided by the organizations at the place of work, 10,795 vouchers were issued to citizens and their minor children using state social insurance funds. Wherein:
42.5% of vouchers (4583) of the total number of those who were rehabilitated received vouchers free of charge (children);
8.1% of vouchers (878) were paid at the rate of 15% of their full cost by parents who were traveling with their children for sanatorium treatment in a sanatorium (department) of an adult with a child (on average, the surcharge was 149.2 rubles);

49.4% of vouchers (5334) were sold with partial payment, on average an additional payment for a voucher for 18 days amounted to 190.4 rubles, including vouchers to a hydropathic establishment.
At the bases of two student sanatoriums-preventoria of the Belarusian State Medical University and "Polytechnic" of the educational establishment "Belarusian National Technical University", as well as in the sanatorium "Zeleny Bor" of the State Institution "MKSK" Minsk-Arena "2,489 students were rehabilitated.
The total number of rehabilitated disabled children accompanied by one of the parents was 647 people.

In addition, in the summer period, a family health session was organized and financed from the budget of Minsk and the republican budget together with one of the parents for
57 disabled children with diabetes mellitus and cardiopathology on the basis of the Zeleny Bor sanatorium of the Minsk Arena MKSK.
In the summer period of 2020, 35376 children were rehabilitated in camps of various types, including 24292 children in camps with round-the-clock stay, 11084 children with a day stay.

The activities of the camps were carried out taking into account the full implementation of the recommended sanitary and hygienic measures. The pupils observed the principles of social distancing; when organizing meals, the placement of children in the dining rooms was carried out taking into account the necessary distance.
