Vaccination against coronavirus infection COVID-19 continues in Vitebsk region

14-October-2021
According to the National Action Plan for Vaccination against COVID-19 Infection in the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2022, approved by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus I.V. 22.02.2021, 4 stages are planned for vaccination against COVID-19.
More than 250 thousand people received the first dose of the vaccine in the Vitebsk region. More than 180 thousand of them completed the vaccination course.
Vaccination forms the individual protection of the vaccinated person, prevents the onset of the disease, its severe course and unfavorable outcome. But if the coverage of the population is less than 60%, then we most likely will not be able to form a "collective defense" and will not be able to influence the intensity of the spread of the virus. The more people are immune to the virus, the faster its active circulation among people will decrease.
Vaccination of people who are at risk continues - employees of health care organizations, employees of institutions with round-the-clock stay of children and adults (boarding houses), territorial social service centers, employees of educational institutions, people aged 60 and over, people with chronic diseases , persons at risk of a severe course of the disease, as well as vaccination of persons who have a higher risk of contracting Covid-19 infection compared to other population in connection with their professional activities (workers in trade, catering, consumer services, transport, etc.).
Vaccination of the population is the main and one of the most effective measures for the prevention of airborne infections, including coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Vaccinations against COVID-19 are carried out in all polyclinics of the country. In order to optimally organize the work on vaccination, an appointment for vaccination (by phone or on-line) is organized in all polyclinics. Therefore, if you have not yet been invited for vaccination, sign up for it.
In the Vitebsk region, mobile vaccination teams have been created to vaccinate the population in rural areas, vaccinate employees of enterprises, organizations and institutions. Vaccination centers have been organized in two shopping centers in Vitebsk: "Trio" and "Marko-City", in other administrative territories there are vaccination points on the basis of hygiene and epidemiology centers, in museums, libraries and other institutions.
Currently, the following vaccines are used: • Gam-COVID-Vac, manufacturing country Russian Federation, • Gam-COVID-Vac, manufacturing country Republic of Belarus, For reference. The Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine is often called "Sputnik V". • inactivated vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 (Vero cells), the country of origin of the PRC.
Vaccine recipients cannot get COVID-19 or shed the SARS-CoV-2 virus as a result of the vaccine, as there is no live virus in the vaccine. Given that after the first dose of vaccine is administered, the body takes time to develop specific immunity, it is possible to become infected with the virus in the days after vaccination and in the days before vaccination. Full protection is formed in 92% of those vaccinated 7-42 days after the introduction of the second component of the vaccine.
The introduction of the second dose of the vaccine is also important as it contributes to the formation of the maximum possible protection against the development of COVID-19 due to a more intense and mature immune response. Vaccination forms the individual protection of the vaccinated person, preventing the onset of the disease, its severe course and unfavorable outcome. However, there is only limited evidence that vaccination reduces the risk of asymptomatic COVID-19 in the event of a possible infection, and it is these forms that contribute to the spread of infection in the population.
The appointment of vaccination for each patient is carried out by the doctor after his interview, medical examination and study of the medical history.
At the same time, it is necessary to remember about the observance of such preventive measures as wearing a mask, observing hand hygiene, social distancing, regular ventilation of the premises, cleaning the premises with the use of disinfectants.
In accordance with the decree of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated 06.10.2021 No. 105, changes were made to sanitary norms and rules regarding the prevention of influenza and COVID-19. In the Republic of Belarus, since October 9, 2021, the mandatory use of respiratory protection and the observance of a distance (1-1.5 m) by citizens at objects, in organizations of all forms of ownership (shops, catering facilities, consumer services, when visiting theaters, cinemas) has been introduced. , cultural events, stadiums, enterprises, healthcare institutions, pharmacies and other facilities) and the responsibility of individuals is provided.
The implementation of elementary preventive measures will allow you to maintain your health, protect yourself and your loved ones, work colleagues from infectious diseases and possible complications.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
