Concern for the health of the population occupies a priority position both in the republic and in the Brest region. One of the types of social assistance in improving the health of the population is preferential provision of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation.

 At the end of 2021, taking into account the epidemiological situation on the spread of coronavirus infection, health resorts and health organizations of the republic received a recovery

110.9 thousand inhabitants of the region, which is 64% more than in 2020. 27.7 million rubles of state funds were spent on the implementation of these tasks.

 For non-working pensioners, 3,650 vouchers were purchased and sold at the expense of the republican budget, of which 1,200 vouchers were given to persons with an extraordinary and priority right to free sanatorium-and-spa treatment and persons accompanying them (disabled people and participants in the Great Patriotic War, disabled people I and II groups, etc.). During the reporting period, 274 vouchers were sold for law enforcement agencies, 1,258 vouchers for students, and 1,258 vouchers for working citizens at the place of work.

 Particular attention is paid to the organization of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation of children. In general, in 2021, over 100 thousand children of the region received health improvement in sanatoriums and health camps of all types, which is 176% more than in 2020, including 9.7 thousand children living and studying in contaminated areas and 86.3 thousands of people in health camps, including 60.7 thousand children in summer.

During the summer period, special attention is paid to the improvement of socially unprotected categories of children. 1,741 children left without parental care and orphans, 673 disabled children, 1,226 children who are on preventive records and in a socially dangerous situation and 9,385 children from large families rested in camps of all types, which is 21. 4% of all children who received rehabilitation. 369.2 thousand rubles of local budget funds were used to reduce the cost of vouchers to health camps for children of public sector employees, to pay up to the full cost of vouchers for people with disabilities under 18 years old, for orphans and other socially unprotected categories (304.0 rubles in 2020). thousand rubles).

In the Brest region, there are currently 22 certified sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations of various departmental subordination and forms of ownership, including 15 sanatorium-resort organizations (including 2 student ones), 4 recreation centers, 3 health centers, and 21 stationary health camps .

According to the results of 2021, on the basis of sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations of the region, they underwent treatment and rehabilitation

 98 thousand adults and children (2020 - 66.5 thousand). The volume of proceeds from the sale of services amounted to 68.1 million rubles, which is 147% compared to the previous year. Export of services for 2021 amounted to 165.2% compared to the previous year. 8.5 thousand foreign citizens rested in the health resorts of the region (in 2020 - 4.8 thousand).

The sanatorium and health system in the Brest region is constantly developing. Every year, health resorts invest heavily in capital and current repairs, the purchase of new modern medical equipment and inventory, and landscaping. Reconstruction and new construction are also carried out at the expense of own and borrowed funds. In 2021, health resorts spent 8.9 million rubles for these purposes (in 2020 - 9.7 million rubles).

Thus, in 2021, Ruzhansky Sanatorium OJSC completed landscaping work, purchased medical equipment, installed a charging station for electric vehicles, purchased furniture, began modernizing the canteen, and spent 1.8 million rubles for these purposes.

In the state institution "Republican sanatorium "Yaselda" for veterans of war, labor and the disabled", current repairs of buildings and structures were carried out, medical, technological and musical equipment was purchased, a sports ground with a canopy for placing simulators was equipped for a total of 1 million rubles.

The Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center" Kolos "purchased a bus for organizing excursions for vacationing children, medical and technological equipment, as well as carried out ongoing repairs to maintain the base in proper condition, spent 601.5 thousand rubles.

Under special control is the issue of ensuring the safe stay of the population in sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation, including taking into account the epidemiological situation.

In the regions of the Brest region, interdepartmental working groups have been created to monitor the activities of sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations with on-site visits. In 2021, these working groups examined twenty-one sanatorium-resort and health-improving institutions operating in the region, except for the recreation center "Birch Grove" of the State Institution "COR for Water Sports", whose activities were suspended due to the reconstruction of the facility. In addition, the representative office conducted 14 unscheduled th trips to the health resorts of the region.
