On October 1, 2022, the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population and its regional departments celebrated a significant event - their 25th anniversary of its foundation. For conscientious work in the field of health resort treatment and rehabilitation of the population, many employees were awarded certificates of honor, thanks from the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Health Resort Treatment of the Population, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Belarus, and local executive bodies. Labor veterans are not forgotten either. All 25 former employees of the department were sent greeting cards with gift certificates.

Much has changed in the system of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation in the Brest region for twenty-five years. During the liquidation of military camps, dilapidated health camps, as well as educational institutions, local authorities set the task not to destroy them, but to create new modern sanatorium-resort and health institutions in their place.

So, in the Kamenets region, on the basis of a military camp, a specialized sanatorium "Belaya Vezha" appeared for veterans of war, labor and the disabled. The advantages and conveniences of the health resort lie in its architectural component. The medical and sleeping buildings, a catering unit with a dining room, a hydropathic facility are interconnected in a single structure, which allows vacationers to move freely within the health resort.

In the Pruzhany region, on the basis of the health camp "Papernya" of the Pruzhany plant of radio components, a wonderful sanatorium "Ruzhansky" was built. This health resort is a real fairy tale for adults and children. The cleanest pine air, favorable landscape, own artesian mineral water well, the most modern equipment create all the conditions for a good rest and recovery of adults and children.

In the Kobrin district, on the site of the old pioneer camp, a comfortable and modernly equipped children's rehabilitation and health center "Kolos" was built.

In the Brest region, on the site of the sanatorium-dispensary of Stroytrest No. 8 OJSC and the Zhuravinka health camp, the Solnechny sanatorium, owned by Belarusbank, appeared. This is an elite sanatorium-resort facility that relies on modern design, European comfort, Belarusian hospitality.

This year, on the basis of a closed orphanage in the agro-town of Byten, Ivatsevichi district, a new stationary health camp "Yuventa" was opened, to which 1.2 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget to prepare it for receiving children.

As a result, there are currently 21 certified sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations in the Brest region of various departmental subordination and forms of ownership, including 14 sanatorium-resort organizations, 4 recreation centers, 3 health centers, and 22 stationary health camps. All these institutions are designed to improve the health of the most diverse segments of the population: adults, children, the elderly and the disabled, students.

The sanatorium and health system of the region is developing steadily. Work is underway to expand sales markets and increase the volume of exports of sanatorium and health services. The constant development and strengthening of the material and technical base allows health resorts to reach a higher competitive level of public service.

I would like to note the state support in terms of health resort assistance to the population. More than 100 thousand people of the region receive preferential sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation every year. The need for sanatorium-resort treatment of disabled people and participants in the Great Patriotic War and other categories who have an extraordinary free right to receive vouchers, as well as minor children - the future of our nation, is fully met.

And in conclusion, I would like to note that the socially oriented policy of our state, represented by the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium and Resort Treatment of the Population, makes it possible to provide social guarantees to the inhabitants of the country for the preservation and promotion of health, as well as to maintain the efficient and stable operation of Belarusian health resorts.
