According to the results of work in 2022, 15.1 thousand residents of the region underwent sanatorium and health resort treatment and rehabilitation, which is 101.1% compared to 2021. For these purposes, 11,575.7 thousand rubles were spent from the republican budget and the budget of the state non-budgetary fund for social protection of the population of the Republic of Belarus.

The priority direction of the work of the representative office is the provision of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation of children aged 3 to 18 years. So, in 2022, 5,524 children (including 427 disabled children) improved their health in sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations in the amount of 4,757.3 thousand rubles.

In addition, 75,706 children improved their health in camps of various types, which amounted to 105.4% compared to last year. The recovery coverage of school-age children in 2022 was 65.5% (for comparison, in 2021 - 62.5%), including 37% for the summer recreation period, and 15.4% in camps with round-the-clock stay of children. The plan for the improvement of children for 2022 was completed by 102.9%.

6924.3 thousand rubles were spent from the republican budget for the rehabilitation of children in camps.

Currently, there are 32 stationary health-improving (sports and health-improving) camps in the region, for the preparation of which more than 4 million rubles were spent, including 3.7 million rubles at the expense of the owners of the camps.

We were also pleased with the results of the work of the sanatorium-resort and health-improving organizations of the region. Compliance of the services provided to the population with social demand, the developed material and technical base of health resorts and their staffing with highly qualified workers make it possible to ensure the growth of the main economic indicators of the sanatorium and health complex.

In 2022, the number of sold vouchers amounted to 106.4 thousand, which is 6% higher than the same period in 2021. Foreign citizens sold 24 thousand vouchers, which amounted to 146.9 compared to last year.

The proceeds from the sale of services amounted to 94662.6 million rubles, which is 26.9% higher than last year's figures, the indicator for the export of services also increased and amounted to 184.9%.

The lists and quality of health resort and health services are developing according to the needs of the population. For this development, health resorts annually use significant amounts of money, for which current and major repairs are carried out, new equipment and inventory are purchased.

In 2022, the amount of funds used to strengthen the material and technical base amounted to 21,641.1 thousand rubles, including 463.7 thousand rubles to create conditions for a barrier-free environment for physically impaired persons.

For high performance in health improvement and sanatorium-and-spa treatment of the population in 2022, the Vitebsk Regional Administration was recognized as the best with an honorary third place and the Center’s Certificate of Merit.

The accumulated potential gives confidence that in 2023 all the tasks set by the government will be fulfilled.
