In the first quarter of 2024, sanatorium-resort and health organizations of the Gomel region sold 26,329 vouchers, of which 10,406 vouchers to the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, 6,383 vouchers to legal entities, 9,540 vouchers to individuals. The increase in the sale of vouchers (excluding vouchers sold to the Republican Center) amounted to 110.6% compared to the same period in 2023. The volume of revenue from the sale of sanatorium and health services amounted to 27.30 million rubles, or 119.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

5,921 foreigners, or 125.8% compared to the same period in 2023, rested and improved their health in the health resorts of the Gomel region. Revenue from the export of services increased and amounted to 7.47 million rubles, or 140.8% compared to the same period in 2023, including additional paid services worth 1.27 million rubles were provided to foreign citizens.

The average occupancy rate of health resorts in the Gomel region for the first quarter of 2024 was 84.3% (83.5% in the first quarter of 2023).

It should be noted the work of health resorts in developing and strengthening the material and technical base. In total, in the first quarter of 2024, more than 3 million rubles were used for these purposes, including about 5 thousand rubles to create conditions for an accessible environment for physically disabled persons.

In order to increase the demand for sanatorium and health services for citizens of the Republic of Belarus and foreign citizens, health resorts in the Gomel region continue to work to create the most attractive, comfortable conditions for vacationers, strengthening the material, technical and medical base, mastering and introducing modern treatment methods.
