One of the priority tasks in the Brest region, as well as in the republic as a whole, is to care for the preservation and strengthening of the health of the population. One of the types of strengthening the body, the stage of health restoration is spa treatment.

Spa organizations of the region are equipped with medical equipment that allows for the necessary treatment, as well as diagnostics of various diseases in patients. Treatment in health resorts is carried out according to modern methods using natural factors, and they are constantly being improved and updated. One of the main tasks facing health resorts, along with ensuring a comfortable stay and good nutrition, is to improve the quality of the medical and health services provided.

In the Brest region, there are currently 14 certified spa organizations of various departmental subordination and forms of ownership. Their total bed capacity is 3918 places.

Spa organizations in the Brest region are constantly developing. Every year, health resorts invest significant funds in major and current repairs, the purchase of new modern medical equipment and inventory, and landscaping. Thus, in 2023, health resorts spent 13.1 million rubles on these purposes, mainly from the owners' funds, and over 9 months of 2024, more than 6.5 million rubles were invested in improving the material and technical base of health resorts.

As part of measures to develop and improve the system of spa treatment and health improvement of the population, sanatoriums develop and offer vacationers new treatment programs, introduce innovative diagnostic methods, and also master new technologies in the field of using natural factors and methods of spa treatment. Thus, in the health resorts of the region, 15 new programs of spa treatment for various periods of stay and categories of people were introduced in the first 9 months of 2024, including: a two-week program "Active Longevity" for citizens 65+ in the State Institution "Republican Sanatorium "Belaya Vezha" for veterans of war, labor and the disabled" and the State Institution "Republican Sanatorium "Yaselda" for veterans of war, labor and the disabled, seven-day programs "Men's Health" and "Health Passport", which offer a special examination and development of rehabilitation in the sanatorium "Magistralny" UP Baranovichi branch of the Belarusian Railway, the program "Comfort Dent" and "Comfort Dent for Children" for dental diseases in the OJSC "Sanatorium "Ruzhansky", etc. More than 35 new methods and technologies of treatment have been introduced in the sanatoriums of the region over the past period of 2024. Among the new technologies, methods of treatment and health improvement, it is necessary to note the introduction of reflexology in the KUP DROC "Kolos", the expansion of the list of therapeutic baths with various fillers (naphthalan, antlers and other natural components) in OAO "SKO "Brestagrozdravnitsa", the expansion of the possibilities for the use of magnetic laser therapy for the rehabilitation of immunodeficiency states, ischemic diseases of the brain, osteoarthrosis in the branch "Sanatorium" Alesya "OAO" SKO "Brestagrozdravnitsa".

Sanatorium "Chaborok" UP "Baranovichi Medical and Consultative Polyclinic" has expanded the list of its procedures with general mud baths and the use of a contactless hydromassage bath.

UP "ASB Sanatorium Solnechny" has expanded the range of cosmetology services (cosmetic wraps, injection cosmetology, hardware beauty massage of the eyes with a lifting effect, Hollywood care with a GLED mask, etc.), one of the first, together with the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, introduced DNA testing with the issuance of a genetic passport.
