Summer holidays for schoolchildren are a long-awaited, carefree and eventful time. One of the best options for organizing children's leisure is an educational and health camp. The main goal of organizing camps is not only to create conditions for a good rest, but also to comprehensively develop children's creative abilities and their patriotic education.

In the summer of 2025, 37 round-the-clock stationary camps operate in the Vitebsk region, providing children with the opportunity to spend their summer holidays in a healthy and friendly atmosphere.

Every year, the camps of the Vitebsk region carry out major repairs. In 2025, the emphasis was maintained on improving living conditions, food and leisure:

- repair of buildings: renovation of facades, replacement of windows and doors.

- renovation of infrastructure facilities: sports grounds, play areas and canteens.

- security systems: installation and maintenance of the Molniya alarm system, improvement of warning systems.

In 2025, 1.9 million rubles were allocated from local budgets to provide assistance in preparing stationary camps, the owners planned to spend about 12.0 million rubles.

During 2022-2025, the following types of work were carried out to improve the territory of the Niva sports and health camp, located in the Tolochin district:

- installation of a mini-football court;

- installation of a workout area with exercise machines;

- canteen renovation;

- hotel building renovation;

- stage renovation;

- summer house renovation;

- sanitary facilities renovation.

Routine repairs are also being carried out. About 130 thousand rubles of budget funding have been spent over five years.

In 2025, 245 thousand rubles were allocated from the regional budget. On the territory of the educational and health camp "Lenok" of the Orsha district, the Brigantina play complex, physical education and sports complexes and a sports playground with artificial flooring were installed and equipped for children's recreation.

At the expense of the RUPTP "Orsha Flax Mill", a sidewalk area was laid from the entrance to the central building, new toilets, showers were installed, and major repairs were made in seven houses.

Photos 9-12. The cost of repair work in the VOL "Lipki" of the Vitebsk district since 2020 amounted to 590 thousand rubles. New furniture, plumbing, heating equipment, kitchen utensils were purchased. A major overhaul of the pier was completed, which pleases with its reliability, bright colors and descent to the water. Children's playgrounds sparkled with bright colors, tennis tables and other equipment were purchased for the playrooms.

Photos 13-20. When organizing four-shift work of the Burevestnik sports and recreation camp in the Vitebsk region in the summer of 2025, the owner of the camp, OAO Vitebsk Carpets, reconstructed the outdoor toilets - a modular sanitary block was purchased and installed. Major repairs were carried out in dormitory No. 4, the roof of dormitory No. 3 was repaired, 150 sets of bed linen were purchased, equipment for the kitchen block: a 4-burner stove, a vegetable cutter, a SHZhE-2 oven. Own funds spent - 142 thousand rubles.

Photos 21-22. In the sports and recreation camp "Vodnolyzhnik", located in the Polotsk region, in 2023, the camp fence with a length of 168 m was replaced, the costs amounted to 21 thousand rubles.

Photos 23-24. In 2023, a sanitary module (toilet) was installed, the costs amounted to 27 thousand rubles.

Photo 25. In 2025, a modern sanitary module with a shower cabin was installed, the costs amounted to 27.5 thousand rubles.

Photos 26-27. In the VOL "Braslavskaya Volna" of the Braslavsky District, which first opened its doors in the summer of 2023, significant attention is paid annually to creating comfortable conditions for children's rest and staff work.

Photos 28-31. In 2025, at the expense of the regional budget in the amount of 38.5 thousand rubles, the following were purchased in the VOL "Braslavskaya Volna": a dishwasher, a washer-dryer, a drying cabinet, an ironing calender, soft inventory, a lawn mower. Also, repairs were made to the building and the adjacent territory of the camp for the amount of 15 thousand rubles.

Photos 32-35. In 2025, a major overhaul was carried out in the building of the VOL "Cosmos" canteen in Polotsk district, with a complete replacement of technological equipment, furniture, ventilation, etc. The roof was replaced, the area adjacent to the canteen was asphalted. Significant own funds of the enterprise were spent - 1.5 million rubles.

Photos 36-37. The disco hall was renovated, in which the windows were replaced, a suspended ceiling was installed, etc.

Photos 38-40. A new sports ground was installed with the installation of artificial turf and the purchase of sports equipment.

Photos 41-42. Repairs were carried out in the buildings with the replacement of windows, furniture, bed linen, mattresses. Showers were renovated, plumbing in hygiene rooms was replaced, etc.

Photos 43-48. The total cost of improvement activities in the VOL "Energetik", located in the village of Malye Letsy, Vitebsk district, over the past 5 years amounted to about 1.3 million rubles. During this period, the roofs of the buildings were replaced, the stadium was repaired, a frame swimming pool measuring 5x10 meters was installed, a children's playground was equipped, the Eternal Flame Memorial "Zvezda" was landscaped, small architectural forms were installed, etc.

Photos 49-53. In the VOL "Yunost" of the Chashniki district, the facade of the administrative building was updated, cosmetic repairs were made in the canteen, sleeping buildings, the sports ground was updated, modern information stands were installed, a tent, squad gazebos, children's swings, a swing-nest, small architectural forms were installed, the alley "Our Homeland - Belarus" was landscaped.

Photos 54-60. In 2025, the Druzhba Voluntary Health Camp of the Vitebskoblgaz Unitary Enterprise underwent major repairs: the dormitory building was renovated, utility lines were replaced, new furniture and interactive equipment were installed, and modern playgrounds were built.

Photos 61-68. Over the past 5 years, the Lugovtsy Educational and Health Camp of the Dubrovensky District State Educational Institution has completed repairs in the medical block of the camp, residential buildings, updated furniture, partially replaced wooden window and door units with PVC, equipped an unloading ramp near the storage room, renovated the open stage area, installed a canopy over it, and purchased and installed drying cabinets. The bread-slicing room, drying room in the canteen, and vegetable storage were renovated. Sports grounds were renovated, and the basketball and volleyball courts were asphalted. Basketball backboards were installed. The only Orthodox camp in the Republic of Belarus, "Druzhba", an institution of the Vitebsk diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, has been transformed for the better.

Photo 69. The canteen building has been renovated, with windows, tables, chairs, and flooring replaced.

Photo 70. Wooden windows in all camp buildings have been replaced with PVC ones, and repairs have been made in showers and toilets. Sports and play complexes have been installed.

Photos 71-72. The outdoor concrete staircase has been repaired. Gazebos have been installed on the territory, shade canopies have been arranged, and the club building has been renovated.

Annual repairs and updates to material and technical bases provide safe and comfortable conditions for children's recreation and development. This is an important step toward creating a healthy and happy future for the younger generation.
