In the summer of 2025, 67 camps with 24-hour stay and 1052 camps with day stay, located in the Gomel region, hospitably opened their doors to young vacationers.

More than 43 thousand children took advantage of health vouchers, including 9.5 thousand children in 24-hour camps, and 33.6 thousand children in day camps.

Particular attention is paid to the health improvement of children who need individual support. Necessary measures have been taken to organize the health improvement of children with whom individual preventive work is carried out and children in a socially dangerous situation. 1.5 thousand children from among those registered with the juvenile inspectorate were able to improve their health in the camps.

The health improvement of boys and girls with disabilities in the camps was not ignored. 1.4 thousand disabled children spent their summer holidays usefully. The practice of improving the health of orphans has been continued. 1.3 thousand orphans have rested and improved their health in summer camps of all types.

As part of the implementation of the State Program for the Elimination of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, 1,000 vouchers to stationary educational and health camps for children living or studying in educational institutions in the territory of radioactive contamination were purchased at the expense of the republican budget.

Work on organizing the health improvement of children in the summer is carried out in accordance with the plan of activities of the health campaign of 2025.

The plans of activities included thematic events on ideological, civic and patriotic education.

When drawing up the programs of the shifts, activities were included that contribute to the harmonious development of the individual, strengthening the health of children. The opening of the shifts took place with the holding of ceremonial events, the raising of the State Flag and the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.

In June, the Rogachev District Executive Committee and the Rogachev District Center for Children and Youth Creativity, with the support of the Gomel Regional Branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, organized an international non-mobile tent camp of children's friendship "Krynichka-2025", in which children from the Gomel Region and the Russian Federation (Novozybkov, St. Petersburg, 2 detachments of the city of Kursk) took part.

A special feature of the international camp "Krynichka" is the holding of festival-type events, when mixed teams are created from among the pupils of different detachments, both Belarusian and Russian.

The international camp "Krynichka" is the beginning of children's diplomacy, a territory of peace, friendship, tolerance, responsiveness and mutual assistance. In July, the Sozhsky Bereg health camp hosted the international festival "Spring of Slavic Friendship", in which children from the Bryansk and Gomel regions took part.

For two days, creative groups performed, master classes and flash mobs were held. The event was aimed at strengthening cultural ties and friendly relations between the youth of the two countries.

The work of 262 day labor and recreation camps was organized, in which about 4 thousand teenagers worked.

With the assistance of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, jobs were created for students in various types of activities with pay. Types of work that teenagers performed: sewing bed linen, landscaping the school grounds, decorating and weeding flower beds and lawns, grain, work in forestry, in a grain drying complex, etc.

Thanks to the efforts and coordinated actions of all interested services in the camps of the Gomel region, children receive the necessary range of health services, impressions and emotions.
