To provide health and recreational activities for children and adolescents during the autumn break of the 2025-2026 academic year, 392 educational, health, and sports camps with day stays were organized in the Gomel Region at general secondary education institutions, supplementary education institutions for children and youth, and specialized educational and sports facilities. Over 9,000 schoolchildren benefited from the camps.

More than 200,000 rubles were allocated from the republican budget for these purposes. According to the order of the Republican Center for Health and Spa Treatment of the Population, the amount of funds from the republican budget to reduce the cost of a 5-day day camp voucher is 25.00 rubles.

The average cost of a trip to day camps, depending on the child's age, was: 32.22 rubles for children aged 6-10, 37.79 rubles for children aged 11-13, and 41.18 rubles for children aged 14-17. The average cost of a trip to day sports and recreation camps was: 36.80 rubles for children aged 8-10, and 37.33 rubles for children aged 11-13.

Meals at the camps are provided based on the in-kind and monetary standards for food expenses established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The camp organizers developed educational plans for children, including cultural and physical education and recreational activities, walks, and excursions. Optimal conditions for active recreation were created, providing each child with the opportunity to realize their potential and express their individuality and creativity. Entertainment and educational activities were organized.

Particular attention was paid to patriotic and educational activities, including quizzes, intellectual games, and competitions.

Safety training was also promoted. Drawing competitions, exhibitions on the prevention of bad habits, and talks and lectures were organized with invited staff.

Sporting events were organized at the camps. The most active participants received certificates of honor, sweet prizes, and souvenirs.

Interested services, with the participation of specialists from the Gomel Regional Office of the Republican Center for Health and Spa Treatment of the Population, monitored the camps' activities to ensure compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, food service, and child employment.

In educational, health, and sports camps with day stays for children, all conditions were created for rest, ensuring meaningful leisure, developing a culture of a healthy lifestyle, and rational use of vacation time.
