Health improvement for children of Minsk in day and full-time camps during the autumn holidays of the 2025-2026 academic year

25-Nov-2025

To ensure high-quality health and recreation for children and adolescents during the autumn holidays of the 2025-2026 academic year and to create conditions for active, educational leisure for students, 276 educational and health camps with day and 24-hour stays were organized from November 3rd to 6th, 2025. These included:

275 day camps organized at general secondary education institutions and supplementary education institutions for children and youth, where 16,577 Moscow schoolchildren benefited from health improvement;

one 24-hour specialized camp organized at the Gorizont health complex of the N Holding Social Complex.

The day camps provided children with three nutritious meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack).

Each educational institution has developed a special wellness and educational program for students, including physical education, sports, and cultural events, games, competitions, tournaments, and participation in interest groups such as clubs, sections, and art and events.

In addition, specialized programs are offered for children during the fall break. The range of specialized programs is quite extensive, including environmental programs, art programs, career guidance, programs for the prevention of childhood road traffic injuries, sports, and more.

For children attending day camps, optimal conditions have been created for improving their health, recreation, and the efficient use of their vacation time, as well as developing a general culture and healthy lifestyle skills.

The "Horizon" Health Camp opened its seventeenth interseasonal wellness shift during the fall break of the 2025/2026 academic year.

From November 1st to 8th, 2025, 210 children had the opportunity to spend quality time, improve their health, and relax during the autumn holidays, not in the city, but in the countryside at the "Gorizont" health camp, a branch of the N Holding Social Complex.

The "Fairytale Turmoil" themed session transformed every day into a captivating investigation, where all participants became real detectives for an entire week – completing tasks, solving puzzles, and participating in creative activities.

The daily program included game sessions, seminars, and speaker sessions in seven areas: financial literacy, speed reading, acting and public speaking, robotics and programming basics, self-presentation and personal branding, science, and foreign languages. This diversity allowed for a combination of intellectual development, creative practice, and applied skills.

Quests were organized for the participants, where the children applied their observation skills and logical thinking. A fair with prizes added a festive atmosphere and a competitive element.

Orienteering developed teamwork and navigation skills.

Horseback riding provided new experiences and interaction with animals.

Immersion in the world of virtual reality provided access to modern technology and interactive learning.

Creative workshops fostered artistic development and self-expression.

Daily immersion in the camp's storyline and well-thought-out activities made the vacation rich and rewarding. Children were constantly engaged in learning and play, and received memorable gifts that provided a pleasant end to their vacation.

The program engaged even the most discerning campers: a combination of education, creativity, and active recreation ensured comprehensive development and vibrant emotions.

The autumn holidays at Horizont Camp, in the "Fairytale Turmoil" format, demonstrated how play and learning can be combined in an engaging and effective way. The variety of activities and themes provided the children with new knowledge, skills, and impressions, and the well-thought-out camp plan made these eight days truly memorable.
