New Year's charity event «From the Heart» in Brest region
14-Jan-2026Since 2023, the national New Year's charity event for the elderly, "From the Heart," has been held in Belarus. "From the Heart" is a natural continuation of the traditions of the New Year's charity event "Our Children." The main goals of the event are to express deep gratitude and respect for the elderly, demonstrate the importance of caring for the older generation, highlight the need for assistance and support, strengthen traditions of family well-being, and provide special care to all elderly people, leaving no one behind during these holidays.
On January 9, 2026, a celebration was held at the 24-hour care unit for senior citizens and people with disabilities of the Pruzhany Territorial Center for Social Services in the village of Lyskovo, Pruzhany District, Brest Region, as part of the annual national New Year's charity event, "From the Heart." The festive events were attended by A. Reshatniova, Head of the Brest Regional Office of the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population; R. Suprinovich, Deputy Chairman of the Pruzhany District Executive Committee; and Ruzhansky Sanatorium OJSC.

Guests were given a tour of the department, meeting the residents and learning about their living conditions. Currently, 22 people reside in the department. A concert was held during the event, and the participants expressed their gratitude to the senior citizens. Gifts were presented: pies from Ruzhansky Sanatorium OJSC and a cash certificate for the purchase of essential household appliances for the department.

We hope that the warmth, festive spirit, and warm atmosphere created will remain in the hearts of the department's residents for a long time.
