Results of work on health improvement and spa treatment of the population in the Brest region for 2025
18-February-2026On February 5, 2026, a meeting was held at the Brestagrozdravnitsa Health Center, a Brest Regional Office of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population (hereinafter referred to as the office) to summarize the work of the office for 2025.


Leading specialists from the office were briefed on the health resort's operations and structure.

In her report, Ala Reshatniova, Head of the Office, noted that in 2025, the office met its targets for health improvement and spa treatment for the region's population using state funding. Thus, by the end of the year, 114,600 residents of the Brest Region received treatment at spa and health resort facilities. A total of 44.2 million rubles of public funds, or 135.6% of the previous year's total, were spent on these projects.
4,723 vouchers were purchased and sold for non-working pensioners using the republican budget, including 1,468 vouchers for individuals with priority and priority right to free spa treatment funded by the republican budget and their accompanying persons (disabled veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, disabled persons of groups I and II, etc.). During the reporting period, 277 vouchers were sold for law enforcement agencies, and 3,362 vouchers were sold for employed citizens at their place of work.
Particular attention is paid to the organization of spa treatment and health improvement for children. In 2025, 105,100 children in the region received treatment in sanatoriums and health camps of all types. Of these, 7,900 were children living and studying in contaminated areas, 582 children with disabilities, 3,400 children of working citizens, and 93,100 people in health camps, including 62,700 children in the summer.
The coverage of children in the Brest region for health camps in the summer of 2025 was 43.7% of the total number of students, compared to the national average of 43.8%. In 2025, 29.7% of children received health camps at suburban stationary camps (28.7% in 2024).
During the summer of 2025, 23 stationary educational and health camps with a total of 3,688 beds operated in the region, operating in 4-5 shifts and operating at almost 100% capacity.
In 2025, 7.4 million rubles were spent from all sources to strengthen their material and technical base, including 4.9 million rubles from the local budget.


Based on the results of their work, leading specialists overseeing spa treatment for the population of Brest, Zhabinka, and Lyakhovichi districts were awarded Certificates of Merit for the best performance.
On February 11, 2026, a meeting with the heads of spa and health organizations was held at the representative office to discuss the performance of health resorts in the Brest Region in 2025 and their objectives for 2026.
There are currently 17 certified spa and health organizations of various departmental affiliations and ownership types in the Brest Region, including 13 spa and health organizations and 4 health organizations.
By the end of 2025, 119,200 adults and children received treatment and rehabilitation at the region's health resorts and spas, a 3% increase compared to the previous year. Total revenue from the sale of services by health resorts in 2025 amounted to 147.8 million rubles, representing a 20.1% increase compared to 2024. Service exports amounted to 33.1 million rubles, or 143.2% compared to the previous year, and approximately 21,000 foreign citizens received treatment.
The health resort system in the Brest Region is constantly evolving. Every year, health resorts invest significant funds in major and ongoing repairs, the acquisition of new modern medical equipment and inventory, and landscaping. In 2025, health resorts spent 44.1 million rubles on these purposes, primarily from their owners' funds (in 2024: 23.4 million rubles). Significant investments are made year after year in the sanatoriums "Nadzeya," "Ruzhansky," "Belaya Vezha," "Solnechny," and "Bug," as well as in the health centers "EcoBel Kolbovichi" and "Energia."
Work on health resort treatment and health improvement for the population of the Brest Region will continue.
