In the Vitebsk region, the health of the population was discussed at a meeting of the Postava district executive committee

On March 20, a meeting of the district executive committee in Postavy was devoted to one of the key areas of regional development: demographic security.

The meeting was attended by Aliaksandr Tsai, Deputy Director of the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, and Alesia Chornaya, Head of the Vitebsk Regional Office of the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population.

The state policy of the Republic of Belarus is aimed at achieving the target indicators of the State Program "Public Health and Demographic Security" for 2021–2025, adopted by Resolution No. 28 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated January 19, 2021, developed in accordance with the priority areas of sustainable socio-economic development.

Pavel Kachan, Chief Physician of the Postavy Central District Hospital, and Svetlana Rasseyeva, Head of the District Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, presented a report on the implementation of the state program "Public Health and Demographic Security" for 2021–2025. The report focused on the quality of medical care, disease prevention, and the current demographic situation in the district.

In 2025, the Postavy Central District Hospital, the Postavy Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, executive authorities, social welfare agencies, education, sports, tourism, culture, and the media collaborated to achieve the target indicators of the state program "Public Health and Demographic Security" for 2021–2025. Measures were developed to reduce mortality and provide medical care to patients with socially significant diseases, and the outpatient monitoring system was improved.

Alexander Tsai visited the Vetraz Regional Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in the Postavy District, where he was introduced to the facility's facilities and technologies.

The health center boasts modern, well-developed treatment facilities, enabling it to treat patients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, and mental health conditions.

In March 2026, during the final board meeting of the Main Healthcare Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Sergei Petukhov, Chief Physician of the Vetraz Regional Rehabilitation and Treatment Center, was awarded a commendation from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee for his many years of dedicated service, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to strengthening and developing healthcare.
