Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is it possible to provide monetary compensation for the cost of a voucher for disabled children arriving at sanatoriums on a full payment basis, by analogy with partial state support for children staying in a health camp?

Answer: The legislation does not provide for the payment of any compensation on issues of sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation of the population, with the exception of non-use of the relevant existing right by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, heroes of Belarus, the USSR, full holders of various orders. At the same time, we are talking about reducing the cost of vouchers to health, sports and recreation camps for a set of funds from the republican budget, to which disabled children are entitled in accordance with Government Decree No. 662 dated 02.06.2004.

Question: Vouchers for non-working disabled people of groups I and II are mainly issued in the autumn-winter period?

Answer: In accordance with the legislation, vouchers for sanatorium treatment for non-working disabled people of groups I and II are provided no more than once every two years. At the same time, when conducting public procurement of services for sanatorium treatment of the population, the Center requires an even distribution of vouchers by quarters. Due to the fact that Belarus has a very short summer, there will be three times more people who get sanatorium-resort treatment during the off-season under these conditions, which may form a distorted idea about the predominant periods of stay of such people in sanatorium-resort treatment.
