In the summer of 2021, 71 round-the-clock camps functioned in the region, of which 30 are stationary country health, sports and recreation camps, 2 camps at rented bases and 606 day camps for children. According to preliminary data, since the beginning of the health campaign, about 41,000 children have been rehabilitated against the plan of 39,400 children. The average occupancy rate for round-the-clock camps was 100.0%. The plan was exceeded by 104%.

In 66 labor and recreation camps, 1,227 adolescents rested and worked. The guys carried out landscaping and gardening, repairing schools and school furniture, sewing overalls, caring for plants, etc. The average salary was 250-460 rubles. The children were happy to do the assigned work and undoubtedly made a significant contribution to the family budget.

Particular attention was paid to improving the health of children in need of social protection. 1,811 orphans and children left without parental care, 381 disabled children, 5,164 children from large and low-income families were covered by various forms of recreational activities. For these categories of children, funds are provided for additional payment up to the full cost of vouchers at the expense of the regional, district budgets and the budget of the city of Vitebsk.

On special control was the improvement and employment of adolescents belonging to the category of difficult. 1,062 adolescents were covered by various forms of recreational activities and labor activity.

Overall, the 2021 wellness campaign was a success. This was facilitated by the responsible attitude to the improvement of children of all interested services, the financial investments of the owners of health camps and the assistance of city, district and regional budgets in the preparation of camps. In total, more than 3 million rubles were spent on the preparation of camps in the region.
