Opening of the summer wellness campaign in 2022 in the Gomel region

On June 1, the International Children's Day in the Gomel region, the start of the 2022 summer health campaign took place.

During the summer period, 40,070 children are planned to improve their health in health camps, including 10,585 people in camps with a round-the-clock stay, and 29,485 people with a day stay.

In the region, the work of 8 stationary (out-of-town) health camps and 2 camps on the basis of sanatorium organizations (SUE "Sanatorium" Silver Keys "and PUE" Sanatorium "Golden Sands") is organized, which will operate in 3-4 shifts.

By tradition, special attention during the holidays will be paid to children from large families, foster families, as well as minors who are in a socially dangerous situation and on various types of preventive records. 1190 orphans and 450 children with special needs of psychophysical development will be able to have a rest in the camps.

Work on the preparation of health camps for the summer health campaign was carried out in full in accordance with the decision of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee dated May 16, 2022 No. 380 "On the organization of the rehabilitation of children in the Gomel region in the summer of 2022". 104,673 rubles were allocated for the preparation of stationary camps in the Gomel region for the summer period, of which 41,661 rubles were from the republican budget, and 63,012 rubles from the regional budget.

Order of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee dated May 6, 2022 No. 113-r “On the allocation of funds from the regional budget” provides for the distribution of funds by districts of the region to reduce the cost of a ticket to health camps with a round-the-clock stay and additional payments up to the full cost of tickets for orphans and children, left without parental care, for disabled children, for children from large and low-income families from the regional budget in the amount of 110,777 rubles.

The Main Department of Education of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee developed and approved a plan of regional organizational and practical measures to prepare for the summer health campaign in 2022 and a draft interdepartmental program "Summer for the benefit of 2022". The peculiarity of the regional project in 2022 is that the number of events of civil-patriotic, military-patriotic and local history areas has been significantly increased.

The Health Department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee issued an order dated May 6, 2022 No. 543 “On medical support for the summer rehabilitation of children and adolescents in 2022”, according to which a list of healthcare institutions assigned to stationary health camps was approved, curators (heads of healthcare institutions) were appointed. The selection and assignment of medical workers to summer health camps was organized, and they were trained in the provision of emergency medical care to children in emergency conditions.

The signing of readiness passports and the opening of health camps were carried out in accordance with the approved schedules.

Local executive and administrative bodies, owners of health camps, and interested organizations have been tasked with ensuring the safe stay of children in the Gomel region for rehabilitation during the children's summer health campaign in 2022.
