The first winter vacation shift in the recreation camp "Borok" OJSC "MAPID"

During the winter holidays, about 500 Minsk schoolchildren had the opportunity for 9 days to usefully spend time, improve their health and relax not in the city, but in the countryside in four health camps, which were opened at the following bases: Joint-Stock Company "Holding Management Company "Horizon" Social Complex, recreation center "Druzhba" of the republican unitary postal enterprise "Belpochta", student sanatorium-preventorium "Polytechnic" BNTU and health complex "Borok" of the open joint-stock company "MAPID".

For the first time in the off-season from 12/23/2022 to 12/31/2022, a health-improving shift was organized and held for children aged 6 to 16 at the Borok health camp, where 146 Minsk schoolchildren rested and improved their health

At the opening ceremony of the first winter shift "Holidays in the Top" were present: Head of the Minsk City Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population Nafranovich V.A., Deputy Head of the Administration of the Frunzensky District of Minsk A.V. Strigelsky, management of JSC "MAPID" and the education department of the administration of the Frunzensky district of Minsk.

Health camp "Borok" has a good material base. The children were provided with cozy rooms for living, an assembly hall, sports grounds, a gym, a library, rooms for group work, a modern and well-equipped medical unit.

24 experienced teachers were involved in working with children: a teacher-psychologist, a social teacher, a cultural organizer, teachers of additional education, educators, etc.

For children in the recreation camp "Borok" the maximum conditions were created for recovery, recreation, rational use of vacation time, the formation of a common culture and healthy lifestyle skills.

A special health-improving and educational program was developed, including the New Year holidays: the quest "The Night Before Christmas", the New Year's procession of Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens, team building "The Beauty of the Belarusian Winter", the creative competition "Comic Fun", the New Year's program "Rhythms of the New Year", contests " Connoisseurs of New Year's cartoons", "The Best Winter Squad", "New Year's Traditions", etc.

During the events, children in a playful way got acquainted with the attributes of the New Year holiday, customs, traditions, and the history of the New Year celebration. The events contributed to the formation of an emotionally positive attitude towards the holiday among the children, the rallying of the children's team and the development of interest in collective and creative activities.

In the health camp "Borok" there were also 2 associations of interest; handmade soap making and arts and crafts for making winter souvenirs.

Taking into account the round-the-clock stay of children in the camp, a full-fledged 5-times balanced diet was organized for them, which, in combination with natural factors, outdoor activities, educational and physical culture and sports activities, provides a good healing effect.

Particular attention was paid to the systemic control over the work of the catering department, compliance with sanitary norms and rules, organization of security and access control, control over the condition of pupils by medical workers.
