Reception of citizens by the Director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population in the Dyatlovo District Executive Committee

13-Jan-2025

On January 10, 2025, the director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population Henadzi Balbatouski held a personal reception of citizens in the Dyatlovo District Executive Committee. During the working trip, he was accompanied by the head of the Grodno Regional Administration of the Center Anatol Hanchar.

The visit to the district began with a meeting in the district executive committee with its head Sadovsky A. and his deputy Belyatko V. The state of affairs in the health industry of the district and the prospects for its development were discussed in detail. Considering the presence of some of the best radon springs in the country in the district, the development of this area plays a crucial role in the economy of Dyatlovshchina, the export of health services of the entire Prinemansky region.

Two residents of Dyatlovo asked questions to Henadzi Balbatouski. The first applicant was interested in whether changes would be made to the legislation in the near future regarding the increase in the frequency of providing discounted vouchers to Belarusian sanatoriums for pensioners.

Henadzi Balbatouski explained that the main documents defining such social guarantees are the Law "On state social benefits, rights and guarantees for certain categories of citizens" and the Decree "On spa treatment and health improvement of the population". From January 1, 2024, this decree and the Regulation on the procedure for sending the population to spa treatment and health improvement approved by it shall be in effect in a new version. Now veterans have the right to use spa treatment no more than once every three years, working citizens - once every four years, and parents with children still have the opportunity to go to sanatoriums together every year. As for discounted vouchers, their number for Belarusians increases every year, so if there is a need to increase the frequency of their receipt for pensioners, this will be enshrined in law.

The applicant also asked about the possibility of receiving vouchers for district residents to the Radon sanatorium. Henadzi Balbatouski said that OAO Belagozdravnitsa, which includes the sanatorium, allocates a certain number of them annually, but the vouchers are in demand, so the possibilities of receiving them are limited. However, if desired, district residents can use the services of the sanatorium without accommodation and undergo treatment using the so-called course method.

The second applicant said that she wanted to go to the Belarusian sanatorium in Druskininkai (Lithuania) with her family, but was unable to do so due to difficulties in obtaining a visa. Henadzi Balbatouski explained that changes are unlikely to occur in the near future. Fortunately, our country was able to ensure the operation of the Belarus sanatorium, and Belarusians who have visas and medical indications for treatment in Lithuania periodically visit it. After receiving the visa, the applicant's request will also be satisfied. Henadzi Balbatouski advised the woman to consider other sanatoriums in Belarus if problems arise.
